Every Dalma's fur is unique: each canine has a pelt that can identify it as easily as humans identify using fingerprints. They are a domestic breed that are bred for their looks. Evelon's famed Dalma Appreciation League (DAL) is founded solely to promote the Dalma species and hosts annual competitions and events dedicated to these creatures. The Dalma subsists on a carnivorous diet, though most do not retain any hunting capabilities that their more feral canine cousins possess.
