Information

A purely aquatic creature, Kalamarei spend their entire lives in the ocean except to breed, where they will find shallow waters to give live birth. A thick layer of inner fat allows insulation from extreme temperatures. They can be found in almost any water habitat, both fresh and salt. Broad lungs and oxygen-permeable skin allow the Kalamarei to breathe underwater. Their tentacles are prehensile and are used to latch to objects and remain stationary near the water's surface while sleeping.
