If you don't list them we aren't going to give you warnings or anything. It'd just be really helpful if people did, as yeah. Like Shrewd said, we don't all have a good grasp on their markings yet. Basically it's just a clause to keep anyone from complaining about a marking not showing up on an offspring. In Krypto's breeding, I would've missed the belly marking on one of hers is she hadn't mentioned it. Her mentioning it though made sure that I didn't miss that it was there and could thus get passed on to the offspring.

In order to celebrate Easter and to keep Kuhna breedings going strong (you guys seem to be enjoying them), I figured we could afford a few more Keys in the system.

We will have two Kuhna Key releases on the following dates:

1PM / 13:00 EST on April 19, 2014; and
4AM / 4:00 EST on April 20, 2014.

If you have no KS or cannot make the release times, the Shady Key Swap Bureau decided to open its doors again. You guys have a lot of Lucain and Paragon (some Soveris) Keys accumulated! Now's your chance to swap them again if you'd so prefer.

Remember that you cannot buy a Key from this release if you swap; and you cannot swap if you buy a Key from this release. It's one or the other.

A quick little thing concerning the currently ongoing Wildcard breeding season for Kuhnas.

A fair warning to everyone that the season ends on Thursday, May 1, 2014. From that day and forward, all Kuhna pairs will breed as normal again, and random litters will only be obtainable from Elders and Endangered Kuhnas.

If you still want a random litter from your room, simply start your breeding anytime before Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 11:59PM / 23:59.

If your room was started before then, your litter will be randomized, and your custom Kuhna(s) will be able to breed without invalidating your room.

I hope you guys enjoyed this big kick for the Kuhna revamp, and remember that season clearly affect Kuhnas too. We have a suggestions forum, so if you have an idea for a season, get down to suggesting it! What would you like to see happen when you breed litters? Let us know!

Wildcard's Blessing is the elder one; currently, there won't be any special season, unless Kyrit wants to put one up for the other breedables. I do have a season idea for the future, although I haven't mentioned it to the staff yet. xD

Oh, wow. You guys. The storm out there, it's pretty intense, right? Well it seems the current snowstorm isn't just affecting the weather. Breeders are reporting that the sudden turn has also affected their offspring, causing them to come out with colors completely different to their parents, and have what appears to be a vague Christmas or Winter theme. Odd how it works, huh?

Also yep, that's right. For those who were here last year, this means that the Winter Snowstorm season is back! For the duration of this event, as previously mentioned, your litters will have a chance of producing holiday themed offspring, or at least have their offspring influenced by the season in some way. If you are not too keen on this, Kelloc offers a solution, for a price.

Rooms currently in use won't be affected, and if you've already used up your slots for the month, we predict this season will run into January at some point, but will provide more news on that closer to the end date.

This just in. The Winter Snowstorm has just been forecasted to end on the 12^th of January, 11:59PM. So those who were stuck at home, rejoice! It's also expected that Lucain, Paragon, Soveris and Custom Kuhna breedings will return to normal, if the process is initiated after this date.

So remember, if you want to capitalise on the odd breeding outcomes, then make sure you start your breeding before the end date!

Hey guys, just an itty bitty little update for you guys with respect to the breeding rules. They're minor, but please check them out!

As a reminder, all breeding rules can be found here. To summarize, the new points are the following:

* The room should be clearly titled, and include the species being bred, the names of the parent breeders, the user(s) breeding the pets and any mature tags, if applicable.
Ex. "KR: [Father Breeder] x [Mother Breeder] (Username(s))"

While the format can certainly be tweaked, please try to keep to a standard, clear format for naming rooms. Also keep in mind the male/father is always first in breedings. That is how we record them. Not mandatory, but keep in mind this is how your breeding will appear under the records.

* You must list, in the first post, what potions and items you are using! Do not spread your items between posts, and do not add potions after the breeding has been recorded.
Specify whose items you are using, ex. "Using A's Generative Draught and B's Chaos Draught".

This has been changed in order to avoid complications in recording potions and items. Our new staff member, crow, has been beyond efficient in recording rooms, potions, and everything in-between to ensure that you guys can breed with your potions virtually immediately.

However, her efficiency has brought up a valid point. Not only once have members spread their items and potions between two posts; where the first breeder would use their potion, but the second breeder would then use theirs.

Please use all your potions in the first post! With the same rule that you need to post the two breeders in the first post, this now applies to items and potions as well. Simply specify whose items you are using, and we will record them accordingly.

Finally:

If your room follows all the requirements, the staff will record your slots, your items, and subtract your Keystones from the initiator, and an asterisk (*) will be added to the room title! Do not add or delete this asterisk yourself to or from your breeding topic. This means that your room is valid, and that the staff has added it to the list of breedings to be done once the room is completed.

crow has mentioned that, while recording rooms, she'd found out that some people had been adding the asterisk in their room titles on their own; on my side, I once had a room where the asterisk kept disappearing, and I had to keep going to add it back in.

The reason why this new system was implement is because the Breeding Area is now two pages as of this update. Rooms are also not finished within 2 weeks any longer, which clogs up the area. We do keep a massive list of all rooms currently in progress, which rooms are done and need litters, what items are being used for each room (if any), and other details.

Because there are so many rooms, we have started including an asterisk (*) to tell ourselves that those rooms have been recorded, in terms of slots, items, potions, etc.

Do not put it in yourself; and do not take it out of your topic title. This is for the staff and the staff only.

That should be it. Like I said, mostly minor stuff, but please keep those new tidbits in mind!

Since the introduction of the Soveris, people have asked if it would have a breeding license. The answer was always "Yes, it's coming eventually. We just didn't want to hold back the Soveris release to wait til licenses were ready." Finally, that time has come. If you head over to the License Building, you can now grab your starting Soveris Breeding License.

Are there prizes for obtaining the Soveris A License? (like the others? 1000 KS + Custom Sov?)
How many Paragon are needed to be bred for the A License? I just realized it doesn't have that specified under it. o3o

Hey guys, just an itty bitty thing about the breeding system.

The rules have been tweaked just a tiny bit to say that rooms no longer finish automatically at 25 posts. What does this mean?

Notably, I've noticed that some breeders put big notes in their topic like [NOT DONE YET] to make sure their room wouldn't get locked before their story was finished.

The rules have been tweaked to say that the staff will not complete your litter until your room actually says [DONE] or [FINISHED] or anything that indicates your room being finished. This way, you guys don't have to worry about us locking your room prematurely. Just a tiny thing, but I figured some of you avid RPers might appreciate it.

Putting the [DONE] tag in finished rooms was already a standard, unwritten practice, so why not make it official? Not to mention, if you guys want to continue RPing your rooms just a bit more, it does cut the slack on us artists just a tiny bit.

Shrewdie, help. ;_; I do not understand! I wasn't done with my room yet even though I had gotten the needed posts, but didn't put a "Not done yet" in the title since I thought I didn't need to do it anymore. But it got locked and moved anyway sometimes in the last four days while I was ill and basically bedridden and not able to check. But I was well within the posting time still. Don't get me wrong, I'm suuuuper-excited about the babies and seeing them in the nursery is awesome, but I don't like unfinished rooms and I was only half done with the storyline and am pretty upset right now because if I had known that this would happen, I would have put something into the title. I'd rather wait more on my hatchlings and continue my room. ;___;
