I'm berry happy to announce that the latest installment of toys is available in the Toys and Trinkets shop! There have also been a few changes made to the shop, such as a drop in price since toys aren't overly popular (since most people don't buy things that don't add to their pet). All toys are also now in unlimited stock.

Hey guys~ Well, I have another update! This one isn't related to any of the Easter events or anything. Actually, it's involving poor neglected Evo-Lux Emporium. Zae offers a new service now! Well, not that new. It's one we've been giving you guys already, but decided to relocate. Color changes such as mini-mark additions, eye color changes, wingblade color changes, ect are all now taken care of at the Emporium since we decided they fit genetic alteration better than a shop where you can purchase items for your pet. This will also mean that the add-on shops won't be filled up with those sort of orders (not that those took slots anyways). We have also added a GT option for most things in Evo-Lux, since quite a few options are add-on related. Naturally we still prefer KS, but it's a nice option for if you've run out of KS and can't seem to make it fast enough.

Also, I promise to catch up on old orders from there that weren't finished once I have tablet access again.

It looks like the marketplace has had a lot of love given to it lately. There has been a restock of the Mage's Brewery and Kelloc has stocked two more of his best potions that he thinks breeders might be interested in. There will also be an update for the toy shop within a day or two. I've yet to update Seasonal Specialties since I've been focusing on getting other things such as these potions, keystones from the scav hunt rewarded, ect done, but I'll try to get to that within the next few days as well.

Due to all the chaos that happened after the latest restock, I have decided to put a ruling on how many potions you get get during a restock. This is different than the usual "one of each per restock" rule though, and I'm prepared to hear fits about it probably pop up. I'll quote what I wrote in the thread:

** Breedable related potions, with the exception of unlimited stock ones, may only be purchased if a user has less than two of that potion. For example, if you own two Generative Draughts you may not purchase one. That does not count against your count for other breedable potions though.

* As an addition to the above rule, you may only buy one breedable potion per restock.

The addition may seem a bit redundant, but this means that if you have two Chaos Draughts (for example) on hand, even though you may be able to buy one this restock, you actually can't since you're at the limit. Likewise, even if you have zero of a potion, you can only buy one of that potion at a restock. So if you buy a potion from someone else, end up with two on hand, and then try to buy another one during the next stock, well, you're out of luck. It's nice to see potions available for more people after all.

Potions are meant to be more rare than rooms. We don't want a Generative Draught, XY Draught, Lovey Love Potion, and Chaos Draught popping up in every single breeding. That'd be insane. Even a combination of one or two potions in every room is quite the excess. I will try to restock more often now that we are trying to do more breedings, but potions still aren't meant to be super common. Thus why most potions have low stock rates.

Question - are we still allowed to trade for more if we have already two potions of a kind? Like with retired pets - you can only adopt three yourself, but trade for more? Or is this "two and not more"? But yeah, if we get restocks on a regular basis, I'm very good with this.

There are no restrictions on the trading of potions. If people want to sell them to you, that's up to them. The goal though is to give more people access to the potions. I know this won't stop anyone from offering insane amounts to get people to buy them the extra potions, but at least it's one more small effort to help out the problem.

There has been a minor update to the Evo-Lux Emporium shop. A cheaper option has been added for certain add-on removals. For example, say you bought an add-on from Baal and instead of deleting the old image and replacing it with the new one she just uploaded the new one and sent it to you, leaving behind the old one as well. Later, you (or someone else after trading) decide you actually don't want the add-on. Since the old image still exists we can just have you use that image and delete the one with the add-on. Much less work than if I have to physically remove the add-on. So, this cheaper option costs 50 KS. The more costly price is around, but it's for if you don't have an image but would like me to try to remove the add-on anyways.

Seasonal Specialties is finally up again for Christmas. I'll try to make at least a few large restocks to make sure people can get the gifts they want.

Whoooa. What are these? Maybe you should go check out the marketplace since Kelloc just stocked two brand new potions along with restocking some of his old ones. There was also an addition to the information about the Generative Draught that I think you guys may find interesting.

Out of curiosity, I have 2 questions.

1) What if someone uses an Impel Liquor, but for whatever reason, the staff member who made that persons' babies isn't around during the 2-3 days after the babies are created? Wouldn't that mean the babies can't grow despite using the Liquor? Correct me if I'm wrong, but to my understanding, each staff member only grow the babies they created, not another staff member's...

2) Why was the Skimp Tonic even created? xD It just seems counter-intuitive to everything breeders want, and if someone wants to regulate lineages, couldn't they just place restrictions?

Thunder :U a good explanation for the second one would be... If you breeding a pair that have limited colors and you don't want too many copies or close copies. Or say if someone is self breeding and they only want a small number of offspring rather than a large number. Its hard to pin personalities on a large amount of babies... If I self breed at all I would rather have a small number than a large number. Even if I plan on selling babies... I would still rather a small number. XD thats not everyone though but thats how I view things... and good reasons. It makes things less overwhelming as well and its less work for the mods XD

I don't have an answer for the first one, since I obviously have no way of knowing, but I have a bit of insight on the second one. The Skimp Tonic was created mainly because, while talking in the IRC, there were several people who mentioned that they didn't like getting 3-4 pups from a self-breeding because they didn't know what to do with them. It could be used because the person isn't looking for number but is breeding for plot reasons and is looking for only one or two kids for a particular pair. I know I'm planning on using one with an XY Draught for one of my lifemate pairs because, canon-wise, they only have one maybe two sons.

Agreed. Say that maybe you had a plot where a couple canonically has two sons, and you want the breeding to reflect that. So you can use a Skimp Tonic to ensure they only have 1 or 2 kids, so their children can in fact be twins and not twins plus an extra non-canon triplet you have to worry about.
