Valentines Roleplay Event

Event Guide
- For this event, over the next three weeks you will be given a roleplay prompt that you must respond to.
- If you complete all three weeks, you will be eligible for a special prize.

Rules

- All threads for this event must have been started on or after the 8th of February
- You are restricted to one roleplay thread for the entire event.
- Pick your character/s carefully, though there is no limit on characters involved! This is an evolving roleplay prompt.
- Due to these roleplays being Event Roleplays, they cannot be used for Hunts and must have a minimum of 100 words.
- If you fall behind one week, you will not be eligible for that prize. You must also summarize the previous week's prompt in 1-2 posts.

Week One

Week 1 Prompt: Pick a couple (platonic is definitely okay too), and start roleplaying how they'd spend Valentines! The choice is yours on the setting.

Crax was out shopping when he spotted the announcement about the Valentine's Event on a stall in the Market. Though not normally one to brag, he was very pleased about the plans he had made for him and Candy, and this sort of thing seemed to be right up her alley - especially if it had anything to do with planning the events or decorating.

"Hi there" he called out, waving to the person who seemed to be organising the event with the arm that wasn't completely weighed down with bags. "I'd like to sign myself and my - I suppose you could call her my girlfriend, though she's much more to me than that - up for the event."

He grinned, and shifted some more bags onto his other arm so that he could fill out the form.

Sweet Nothings

Okay, birthday gift deliveries she could handle. Christmas gift deliveries she could handle. But Valentine's Day? Now that was crossing a line. There was only so much sappiness, so much tenderness, so much love that she could take before she had to throw up. Or something.

Not that she actually did throw up, because she prided herself on her strong constitution - an important part of being a Wilson deliverybird that could take on any challenge and any difficulty. Not that she really minded the Valentine's deliveries, either, because they usually involved people being extremely happy to receive their packages, and her jaded little heart still skipped a beat when her deliveries brought someone joy. But it's the principle of the thing, okay. The principle of it all..

Rebi's face was practically as red as a tomato as she walked forwards with a file clutched tightly in her hands. When she had decided to spend a romantic holiday weekend with Komo, she hadn't expected that they would be monitored. But it was too late for her to back out now... at least, that was what her mother insisted.

"Uh, I'm here to sign up for the... um, the valentine's day event?" she stammered, embarrassed. "I guess you need some sort of paperwork? My mom filled it out, and she left her contact information, so if there's anything wrong with it just contact her. Okay, thanks."

With that said, she turned and bolted, eager to put as much distance between her and this place as possible.

Are you my valentine?

That's right. Valentine's Day. Gira wanted nothing more than to spend the day alone with a cup of tea, but she was smart enough to know that wasn't going to happen. She had to make plans now, otherwise, she would be dragged along for... who knows what. If she had to leave the common room on Valentine's Day, then she was going to do it her way. As much as she could, anyway.

"Hello there," she said. "I would like to purchase two tickets, for the event," she explained. She hoped that she wouldn't have to say any more than that, because she wasn't exactly keen on volunteering information about herself or her plans to strangers.

Trying Something New

Dodger had finally asked Terra to be his date. The day was all planned. They would have a picnic and then stargazing. Despite the fact that Terra's sister despised their relationship, Dodger couldn't help to be happy. Now that the date was planned, he was going to sign up for the local Valentine's event. He knew the relationship was new, but he couldn't help but to think it was something to be shared.

"Hello there," he said. "I'm signing up for the Valentines event. I will need two tickets for the event."

He knew he should have consulted Terra, but this event was meant to be a surprise for her. Surely she wouldn't mind, right?

Be Mine, Valentine

She pulled the cigarette out of her mouth. It wasn't lit or anything-- that was nasty, not to mention rude to all the other people around her. Consent was important, y'know? If these people are choosing not to smoke, she really shouldn't be the one to make them. Her eyes rolled as she observed the others here. Koru really owed her for this, she wasn't a courier and being around all these.. Normies was really getting on her last nerve. Besides, why the heck did Koru want to celebrate such a sickening holiday? That Dree wasn't even her best paying customer. She could seriously get a whole month's pay for some of the valentine's gigs being offered up-- but nooo, she was in love. Disgusting.

"Alright, here's the documentation. They all good to go on their date now?" Her voice was slightly raspy, but the real defining factor was the heavy handed annoyance intertwined throughout.

Everyone's Always, Yours Forever

Citra ran up to the counter of the booth, tails wagging behind her. She was practically prancing in place with how excited she looked about the letter in her mouth. It seemed like she could barely stand having to wait in line. But finally it was her turn, and she immediately dropped it down.

"Hey!" she said, grinning. "Don't tell my brother I came here, okay? I'm just helping him out, really! He wouldn't have signed up for this himself, but he totally deserves to get a prize anyways! Anyways, this should let you know everything you need to know about him and his date!"

The pair had been looking at restaurants in the area, and they happened upon the announcement. They looked at each other for a moment, as though they were having an unspoken conversation, before nodding and approaching the booth.

"Greetings," the man said. "I, um... suppose we're here to sign up for this event. And... I don't suppose you could give us any recommendations on fine dining establishments in the area?"

"I don't think that will be necessary, Cullen; I think I see a couple of establishments that look promising... well, more promising than the Herald's Rest and The Gull and Lantern, at least," the woman said, smiling at him.

It had been forever since they had met in person. Although they had exchanged letters during and after the war, to meet up with Rithika again after so long felt too surreal to be true. Caprice could hardly wait, her mind relishing in having thoughts that involved something other than work. It had been a very long time since that, too.

In order to ensure nothing would interrupt her reunion, she needed to make sure everything was in order at work. To appoint people to certain tasks, to have certain people manage some projects... yes, all of that needed to be in order.

And once everything was in place, she put in her request for some time off. It was unusual for her to take any, so her superiors were usually more than happy to let her take a break.

Wander From the Fold

Coming to pick up the tickets in person made him nervous; it had been some time since he'd been out in public, where anyone might see him. He kept catching himself wringing his hands. If he considered it at any length he would realize that wasn't really the thing he was nervous about, of course, and therefore he made a studied effort to consider it as little as possible, to avoid psyching himself out.

"Good evening," he said. "It appears I'll be needing admission to this event of yours." What a strange year this was shaping up to be.

Lacking a romantic date for Valentine's Day, Jezden opted for the platonic friend option, when an offer came in to the agency for the pair to do a live stream for the holiday. Normally, if Jezden didn't have a date for special occasions, outings, or holidays, he would go on family dates with his sister, Sabrina, whom was also his manager. The only other person he spent a significant amount of time with was a fellow model of the same company, Jaya.

Since the two had a similar, deceptive theme, they had ended up becoming fast friends and were often features in shoots and other things together.

She didn't think twice before agreeing, and all Jezden had to do was finishing signing the paperwork.

It had been kind of fun, being the one in charge of the candy shop all day! She wouldn't want to spend all day making candy like Kane did--that seemed exhausting, and from what it did to him, she knew it was!--but as a rare thing, it was fun to bustle like that sometimes. Plus, Kane had looked more refreshed than she'd seen him in weeks after his long day of doing nothing in particular. Well, she was sure the children had talked him into playing some sort of game with him. Hopefully he hadn't grown totally sick of Chinese checkers yet...!

Orion was more than happy that Xanatos had decided that the couple needed a retreat and what better way to do so than to sign up for a couples' event. While Orion wasn't sure yet on all the details, Xanatos had assured him he would enjoy it and that it would help them both de-stress. So here he was signing them both up for the retreat and hoping Xan was right.

"Excuse me, but me and my husband would like to join this retreat if we may? You'll see we have the proper paperwork below. If anything else is needed please let me know."
