Once more, Theron skulked into the Saloon. This time, he appeared much more on edge, like he was half expecting something to jump out at him from the shadows. It was only once he got to where the mysterious patron who had set forth the expedition terms that he seemed to relax a little bit.

"They're still collecting their observations, but I will say this - if either of them end up hurt because of this, you're going to be looking over your shoulder for the rest of your life," he said. "Last transmission indicated that they were going into the desert both to experiment with these crystals and... for something else. I don't understand half of it."

Somehow or another Aesop has managed to delay us even further with promises of dinner and a theatre show. I'd count myself infuriated if those scallops weren't so good... the play was unremarkable, but I still found myself enjoying it. The people of Jawan seem to place a lot of narrative emphasis on fishing and the sea... perhaps Aesop liked it more than I did, for that reason. At any rate, once we wake up in the morning and the pawn shop opens, we'll find that device. And then we'll be on our way to Nu'san. The morning light can't come soon enough...
