Willemina had, until moments ago, been quite certain in her resolve to do this. No one was responding to her help wanted signs, and while she was certainly glad the bakery was doing so well, it did mean quite a lot of work for just two people. This seemed as good a place as any to find herself an employee. And that was still true, of course, but there was something about the outposts in general that made her uneasy. She couldn't have said what it was, but it made her fur prickle anyway. She wished Jillian had been free to come along.
Curiously enough, the strangeness of her surroundings as she drew closer served to set her at ease. Maybe she'd been spending too much time at the Colloquium; there was certainly no shortage of oddities there, and this place was quite tame in comparison.
Ah, well. She could worry about that later.
"Er," she said when confronted by Metha. "Yes, I was just...I run this bakery over in Nabias, and I was hoping to hire some help, and, well, I heard about this place, and..." She laughed nervously, cleared her throat, went on. "Er, but the thing is, it would have to be someone who's used to...weird things happening. We employ some unusual magic and it can be disconcerting for people, you know. But this seems like the place to find someone with the experience we need?" Oh, she hoped that didn't sound insulting. She really did need the extra hands, or paws, as the case may be.

Some added context/elaboration on the character idea: Anselma has lived her whole life with a world-saving* prophecy hanging over her head which she does her best to ignore (figuring if it's going to happen then it'll happen no matter what she does, and if it isn't then she won't have wasted her time) but which keeps breaking into her life in inconvenient ways; but she is very insistent about living a normal life to the best of her ability, although the frequent prophecy-related weirdness means she is strangely nonchalant about things most people would think strange, because it happens so often.
*Maybe not actually world-saving, I'm still working on this idea so it may change slightly.
