Uh... Just popping in to say that the Bird of Paradise link doesn't go to anything like that. This > :D is an Archaeopteryx, better known as the supposed "missing link" between birds and reptiles. It's a dinosaur. o3o

I do like the Bird of Paradise idea, though. Only problem is, there's about fifty (exaggeration lol) different ones. Found a few of the prettiest ones though:

And those are all males. The females are mainly brown without all the splendid plumage and everything. They're kinda like peacocks that way.

I saw those Jesus Christ lizards in Costa Rica! They're really cool

Also, maybe a lizard like the really small dragons from "How to Train Your Dragon" with the big heads. Not neccessarily as a dragon or fire-breathing, but just the big head-smaller body combination.
