Designing Pets
° Start by using the official Flat PSDs that we provide for users to design with. Using these files is important, as it gives us the easiest way to use your design exactly as you intended.
° When designing a pet with markings, please make sure that anything with separate colors/new markings, unless it's a gradient using the Layer Style function in Photoshop, is given a new layer. Many times the staff can use various work arounds when adding shading to the pets if you don't remember to give each new marking/color its own layer, but doing this means less work for the staff, and thus increases the odds for your design to be used.
° You are okay to give your design edits/add-ons! Perhaps you want to add some icy swirls around a pet, or it has too many tails for you design, so you remove one. That's perfectly fine. If you wish to do the shading for any add-ons that is acceptable as well, though it's possible that staff may make changes to the shading if it does not match up well with the pet's official shading. We'll do our best to use what you give us and make changes only when needed.
° The following pets are not open to design submissions, as they are not typically used for forum events; Metamorphose Medical Clinic pets, breedables, Dalmas, Ilos, and Phyrettes, and anything that doesn't have an available flat PSD.
Submitting Pets
° To submit a file for possible use, please email your PSD files to landsofevelon@gmail.com
° Title the file Pet Design Submission: YourUsername
We need your username in the email to reward you for chosen designs.
° There is currently no limit to the amount of designs you may submit within a given period of time, as this is such a new feature. If we start to feel overwhelmed with it we will introduce a limit, though I do not suspect this will be necessary.
Designs Chosen and Rewards
° We will let you know within one month of your design being submitted whether or not we'll use your design or not. This does not mean we'll use it within a month of the submission, but we can at least make the call on if we will add it to our stockpile of designs or not. We want to let you know as soon as possible if we will eventually use your design or not, that way you may choose to do something else with any unused designs (such as customs, offering it to another user, ect)
° For each pet design that is accepted, you will be sent 25 Keystones from the marketplace. Once the pet you designed is released, you will also be given a copy of that pet, regardless of what event the staff decides to use the design for.
