Okay, so you guys don't lose these questions in the other topic. xD You guys love yer breeding don't ya.

Like I said in the topic, I'm interested in those awesome potion ideas you guys came up with. Here's the list I like:

Temporarily Change Cain/Gon Marking Gene; Freezair
—> Would work a la Chaos Drink/LB. One-use. That, or allows to pick a marking that will definitely appear on babies, a la Hollowheart Lucain.

Pet Cloner; Chayden
—> Would allow to clone pets, sans Lucain/Paragons. Kuhnas could be considered, as Gens are all identical. Would have a fail rate.

Snips and Snails Potion; Freezair
—> Makes all babies from a litter Male.

Sugar and Spice Potion; Freezair
—> Makes all babies from a litter Female.

Potion for Non-Breedable Pets; Everybody
—> Would allow non-breedables to breed babies. A la Elixir of Fertility? One-use.

Potion for Cross-Breeding; Probably everybody too
—> Would allow cross-breeding (i.e. Lucain x Kuhna, Kamee x Fenling). A la Elixir of Fertility? One-use.

Potion of Random Kuhna gene; Shrewdberry (unless someone beat me to it!)
—> Would randomize a Kuhna gene for breeding. Breeders cannot choose, will learn which gene they got once they get their babies. One-use.

Keep in mind, there's no telling every potion will be released. Still, it's always nice to know what you guys think, and how much you'd be willing to pay for those potions. I'd like your reasoning, please, and for it to not include things like, "I'm usually broke but I wanna breed pets," or, "The other potions are already way expensive," or, "I just like cheap things." xP

I'm also curious as if the price of the Elixir of Fertility is too high? Our reasoning was that $20 equalled 1000KS, so $15 is about 800KS; so you get one or two CUSTOM babies for the KS price of a random. Still, for curiosity's sake, I'm... curious. xD Thoughts on that?

Also, EoF...same as for the Random Kuhna gene potion...I don't care so I don't speak? But I find the price okay. Like, really.

Oooh. Fun times. Let me see what I can ponder up...

Marking Gene Randomizer:
The permanent potion went for a lot, didn't it? However, this is one-use. If it's a total randomizer, I imagine it would actually be rather cheap, since you have no control over what you get. Maybe 100 KS. If you have a choice, probably more expensive. 200 KS? Maybe?

Cloner:
Depends on how high the fail rate is. I imagine 500 KS would probably be the lower limit, but if the fail rate is high, then I would probably bring it down. After all, you're only creating a copy of an existing pet. Probably best for trading and such. I'd need a more detailed picture of how it would work, but I don't know if you've made one. XD

All Male Babies/All Female Babies:
Hmm. Good question. I imagine about 150 KS. It's a fairly powerful effect, but at the same time, it has some drawbacks. If you use it on a self-breeding, gender overload is a possibility. And if you do it with a partner, you have to make sure they agree. So while useful, I think the potential drawbacks/limitations justify a slightly cheaper cost--at least for something like this.
Interestingly, is it just me, or does it seem like people prefer male Lucain, but female Paragon?

Non-Breedable Breeding:
I imagine it would cost around the same as the Elixir of Fertility. Possibly more, since non-breedables are, er, non-breedables. Or maybe less, since non-breedable customs generally aren't in as high demand as Kuhna customs. But still, you're essentially getting one or two customs, for KS. That's crazy. So maybe 700-800 KS.

Cross-Breeding with Breedables:
Costly. I can't even begin to imagine how to price that. XD

Potion of Random Kuhna Gene:
Cheap. Probably no more than the Custom Kuhna gene-setting potion. 80 KS would probably be the upper limit. Since it's totally random which gene you end up with, I feel a lessened cost would be good. If it let you choose your gene, a slightly more expensive price would be good, but this seems like a pretty basic thing.

Re-Price Elixir of Fertility:
I think it's pretty good right now. It's costly enough that you have to work for it, and if two people want to do it specifically, I think it encourages them to pool their KS. Plus, it's costly enough that for the average Evelonian, it keeps it special and discourages people from hoarding them (even when you can only buy one per restock). So more people get to use them. :]

I personally have to disagree with the gender potions... it's just a minor thing (at least to me), so I sure wouldn't pay more than 100KS for one. xD

The clone potion also couldn't clone CUSTOM pets. I mean, unless some people really don't care? But I certainly would feel awkward if someone wanted to clone one of my customs. ox o;; They're my character designs, not... necessarily just a custom pet design. So they could clone super awesome rare pets, like war pets (maybe even Ein's, just with a super low success rate), but not customs. Unless people really, really don't see anything awkward/wrong with that.

For the clone potion... well, it might be hard to price it. My idea was that you would have a fail rate depending on the pet you want to clone. For example, a Treasure Pet would have maybe... 90% success. A super ultra common pet would have almost 100% success, like the Biolune, for example.

However, a really rare pet like a War pet might get something like... 40% success rate. Ein pets could be something like 10% success. I don't know if we should have a certain price range for every success rate, or if we can somehow come up with a price that can make it worthwhile, despite the higher fail rates. It'd suck to pay something like 400KS because we have to control the Ein fail rate, while you just want to clone a Treasure Rollaby to get a Palid Rollaby. Know what I mean?

Ooooh. If it's more for cloning war pets and such...

That seems to me less like a potion, and more like an Ein/Evo-Lux service. I'd probably price it a bit cheaper, but still in the 400 KS price range, possibly.

Ooh. I thought you would be able to clone your own customs. D8 Well, if you can't do that, then around 400KS seems okay. Though I dunno about the Ein rate. If the most expensive Ein pet costs 1500KS, that would equal four potions and then only 10%? Granted, you don't need the original pet, but...I dunno.
