Okies, then. :] I was mostly just curious, since when this topic wound down, at least one or two of the potions here (such as the gene-swap ones) seemed kinda fairly likely, but then we had no word for a while. But hey, if it all hinges on le Baal, I can wait. XD

I'm not sure I understand why, for example, the Clone Potion is influenced by Baal's time for drawings so much right now? Shouldn't that be a very simple potion which requires no artwork besides a potion-picture? I mean, it's cloning. Pets get duplicated, it's no extra artwork and I imagine it wouldn't take up that much time as well. Isn't it just a dice roll to see if the cloning is successful and then adding one pet to the ownership list? Or did I miss something here?

Draiz needs linearts for the actual potions. Not for the pets.

If we don't have lineart for the clone potion, then we can't release a clone potion.

And necromancing here is good/acceptable. Especially since I'd asked for descriptions as to why people wanted that price range, and I only got random price ranges that sometimes vary a lot from other people's thoughts. P:

I'd try to do bottles, but I doubt I can make them look any good. :\ The thing was that Baal had proposed to draw them a lineart a while ago, but she's busy with RL in general, and then school came along. And now with my RL, I barely have time to do anything myself. @__@ Though Kodai is in the art field too, so maybe we could nag her.

Just out of curiosity, how would the Non-Breedable and Cross-Breeding potions work? Would they produce pets like Jarvin or Ascentarion? A strange cross between an Albie and a Rexxel [strike](totallynotthinkingofZearsMirababiesno)[/strike]? Unless the ideas got scrapped... xD;

And maybe a new potion suggestion? It would be for Paragon only. The potion allows you to breed a baby not of either parent's species (ex., a Voidbringer and a Windgill could produce a Pipe baby), but the baby's colors and markings are still derived from the parents. It might help those people who have like 'Gon breeding projects or such.

Yeah, depends what you'd breed. We'd probably keep it simple by giving you an Albie or a Rexxel with different markings/colors instead of an edited baby, but yeah. You'd be able to breed them.

And I like that potion idea for the Gons. Are you thinking having the species rolled at random or chosen by the breeders?

It would be chosen by the breeders. I know lots of people talk about wanting a specific species, or, even more specific, a certain gender of a certain species. That way they would have a better shot at getting a Paragon that suits their tastes.

Hmm, that sounds good.

One thing, though.. a lot of those potions are getting priced in the middle to high hundreds. Why is that? I understand for the potions like giving you custom babies, but just to pick the species of Gon you want, along with all males/females... Why so serious high? I would personally just suck it up and breed my Gons without that potion if I had to give 400KS a pop for one.
But that's another thing. You always get a minimum of two babies... so would the potion work for EVERY baby? Or would it guarantee at least ONE is the oddball species you want?

I can't help but want to price those at around 50-100KS. There's no need for them to be that common, but there's no need for them to be too expensive, either. Obviously, Freezy is the only one who even proposed a price, but... Yeah. x3

KS is hard to come by since you basically only get it from RPing nowadays. So 400 sounds like a lot to me, but 50 sounds a little too cheap. Know what I mean?

I'd say that you should just keep them random, since part of the breeding fun is to guess what kind of results you might get, and this just adds a bit more of that suspension, knowing you could get a totally random Gon baby.

Yeah, I do like that aspect of breeding, but again, some people who have breeding projects and such may be interested in such a potion. Plus, the markings and colors still aren't known :3 You don't have to buy the potion if you want to keep your species random P=

And agreed, I wouldn't price any non-custom breeding potion too high. 50-100 sounds good.
