Which would you prefer?

With as many Paragon markings that we have, including the larger number of markings that cover up much smaller portions of the body now, I think it would be a great idea to either increase the total number of markings a Paragon can have, or break them up into markings and minimarkings.

I think good ratios would be...

4 total markings
or
3 markings, 2 minimarks.

In the case of minimarks, I consider the following small enough to be "for sure," based on size: Clawpad, Crossed and Skulls.

And then these that are small, but may or may not all be quite small enough: Tail Band, Mystwalker, Lizard Legs, Body Bar and Checkered.

I know that the concern with Paragon and the idea of having minimarkings is that they may get too cluttered, but I think the ratios that I suggested would be okay without going overboard.

And if minimarkings are introduced, that opens a lot of windows for new marking ideas and definitely a lot of design ideas for everyone.

I think the 3 markings/2 minimarks idea is pretty neat. Clawpad, Crossed and Skulls could be minimarks for sure, and maybe Lizard Legs, but I don't think Tail Band, Mystwalker, or Body Bar should be.

Just wanted to add Checkered to the "Maybe" list. While it touches multiple parts of the body, none of those cover much at all.

While I'm not against this, I'm also hesitant to vote for it because the mods have expressed several times before that working with the Paragon files is a pain and I don't wanna give them even more trouble. So I voted for "Leave things as they are". o3o But I'd have no problem with a change, either, if the mods approve of it.

I marked to leave things as they are because, for me, picking three markings for some of my Paragon is a hassle, and I feel if that limit were increased/certain markings classed as "minimarkings", it would either make things harder to decide and/or make them feel more cluttered, in addition to the mods having expressed that working with the Paragon files is a pain as is right now.

I have already personally expressed to Baal that she needs to consider changing the limits for both Paragon and Lucain based solely on the fact that she herself keeps going past that limit on randoms. So, hopefully this may be something that is done in the future, though I don't know if Baal will for sure or not since that's up to her when all is said and done.

I voted for the three markings, two mini-markings. I don't exactly think that just saying '4 Markings' would be a good idea, since then the paragon could become cluttered if people began choosing 4 of the large, intricate markings. But I think the three markings and two mini-markings is a great idea.

Noting that I added "Checkered," to the maybes list, as Azura did mention that they are rather small.

Also, some of the markings I put on "maybes," are there because, while they may cover more of the body than some of the other smaller ones, I was sort of going by Lucain ratios, as far as minimarkings went. Some minimarkings on Lucain actually cover a pretty large portion over all, and they're the only thing we can compare Paragon to. (Like Coontail vs. Tail Band. Mudpaw/Banded vs Mystwalker/Lizard Legs.)

In respect to the option of "4 markings," too, I think most of the general populace wouldn't really design a lot of overly cluttered Paragon even with the option, given that we all like things that look nice. And if it was cluttered, I imagine that it would be done tastefully.

Personally, I picked "Either option," in the vote, since I think either way would be a little improvement to how things are now and would just be nice to have all together.

Kind of irrelevant, but can I see some examples of this? I haven't noticed any that go "over the limit."

If we do this, can we get potions for breedings that only allow the normal amount of markings? I'm okay with this, but I'd like to be able to control it in breedings.

If you want to control it in breedings why not have it like the extra lucain mini marks? :l Have breedings only produce 3 still? Or have four just be rare.

I think having a potion only for that would be a bit of a waste.
