So a thought crossed my mind just now about predicting what kuhnas will breed what type of offspring. Obviously, we as regular users already have this topic here to see what kuhna recipes there are, and it's awesome and I'm so glad Toxic took the time to make it, but to me it would also be very convenient if we were allowed access to the kuhna generator that the mods use to find out offspring for easier viewing possible results. Kinda like the foresee progeny thing in FlightRising, yeah?

I totally understand if this thing is not allowed for any reason, but I thought I'd throw the suggestion out there. xD

I would personally... refuse that, if only because that would spoil surprises for future species, certain species that haven't yet been discovered on the new lines, and such.

I would personally prefer that it remains a mod-only system, not accessible to users. It would... kinda be like sitting down to watch a mod do your Lucain/Paragon/Soveris/Diosol babies, wouldn't it? We also don't give access to the battle roller, because that, too, is a system that is honestly only for the use of the mods, and not the userbase.

Ahh yes, I do understand that. I wasn't aware there would be new Kuhna species actually :0 So yeah that totally makes sense that we wouldn't be allowed to use it. xD

Well, the Carol species are new species. xD And if ever we try to do it again, this system allows us to control the babies, so we could add new genes, new species, etc. And along the Classic system, that's because we did change some of the already-existing species, so you would see those ones before everyone else, too.

Would it be possible to make a little thing that just shows the current possibilities based on that list up there?

Like if you put in Common and Berry, it would come up with "Common, Berry, Fruity"? New Kuhnas could be added as they're discovered, just like they're added to the thread.

I don't think it should show the exact numbers/percents, just the possible outcomes, since that information is already available. It would be especially helpful when breeding two generation Kuhnas together.

^ This is more what I was thinking, yeah. Something that can be edited by the mods when necessary, and uses the same algorithm that the mod one uses? Idk how coding works. x'D

It could probably be a lot simpler than the ones the mods use because it doesn't have to come up with how many of each kit or account for ones that might be more rare.

Generators take time and coding. Though it would be easy enough to make a kinda of spread sheet of possible species from pairings. However that being said its actually pretty easy to look at the topic that Toxic made and put two and two together to find out for your self what could come out of each pairing if you really want to know. Though that topic is out of date last time I checked. But that was a while ago.

In my opinion a spread sheet or even just a topic with the pairs would be more sensible. That is if its kept up to date and organized.

I think some of the newer species are missing (Smilokuhna, all the Carol possibilities), but it should otherwise be completely accurate. I can try to update the list at some point if it would be helpful for people : O

I just wanted to post saying that I do actually try to keep the list up to date, although I usually wait for users to post the information regarding new species. So, if you breed something new, please do let post in the thread to let me know! I didn't add in some of the Kuhnas yet, though, since the list was a lower Evelon priority of mine over ownership lists. (And my Evelonian time on an actual computer has been a bit limited for the last few months, in addition to life things.)

If users would prefer, I could also work on adding a second portion to the list that shows all the outcomes for specific species breedings? It wouldn't include generations, but it would be something like this:

Carol x Calamikuhna
Fireplace Kuhna
Snow Kuhna
Carol Kuhna
Calamikuhna

Admittedly the earliest version of the roller that actually functioned to some degree was a Kuhna litter predictor. As in you inputted the parents and it generated a text list of what was possible from that breeding. It is possible to recreate that with permission from the mods, but I don't know if Shrewd was saying no to the concept in general, or just allowing access to a full blown out one like the official one I made.

With Toxic's list, I honestly don't think... it's necessary to have an actual generator, even text-based. :/ I get it's a convenience, but again, it could just tell you the species that haven't been bred, and... it kinda kills the fun of it?

An alternative to going out of the way to make a separate generator;

Toxic can update the list with a section like she mentioned, and instead of just text the text can be url linked to the images. This would prevent spoiling of unbred species but would keep the list nice and clean and able to show images (without killing anyone's internet like the Kuhna species list)

I was already considering adding links to each Kuhna image, if I added the section I mentioned, so I would be more than willing to do it, if such a thing would be desired.
