Custom Kuhna breeding is already a pretty... flawed system, as much as I'd hate to admit it. At least in the work-load area, but that's been accepted for the sake of giving people the ability to customize them so heavily. Depending on which bases the parents are originally created on (Orig, Gen, Lakundra), we might have to completely redraw markings and edits just to make the offspring. For example, let's say both parents are on the Original base and have a lot of markings/edits. We're going to have to draw all those on the gen base just to make the kids. Having to redraw all markings/edits is always the worst case scenario, though it's not always that bad.
Let's say that there's one Gen parent and one Lakundra parent. Typically, this means that we'd only have to redrawn the Lakundra parent's markings/edits, so it's not all that bad. If we were to allow users to pick and choose if they want some Lakundra offspring, we'd have to redraw the Gen parent's markings/edits on the Lakundra base as well. Additionally, not all expressions that are available on the Gen base are available on the Lakundra base (looking at you, Merkundras), which could end up causing trouble.
Anyways, my point in saying that is that if we wanted to allow users to choose to have Lakundra offspring, we'd probably run in to troubles with expressions that aren't available and potentially a lot extra work. The staff's already been considering raising the price of moving customs between the three bases (Gen, Orig, Lakundra), due to the amount of time and effort that goes in to redrawing all the markings and edits.
If we did end up allowing something like this, it'd definitely be in the form of a potion, that way the cost of the potion reflects the extra work you're potentially asking us to do. Kind of like an Impel Liquor for Kuhnas, since Lakundra are the adult stage of Kuhnas.
