Baaaaal! ;A; I know I didn't know you personally, like at all, but your presence was still very much a part of this site and I will miss youuuuuu. ;_;

It's kind of disappointing that lucain can no longer breed, but you know what? As long as we're still able to roleplay, the site will go on. Lucain breeding may have become a popular part of the site (just looking through previous posts), the lifeblood of this place still is just the rolepay. You even had to roleplay to breed the lucain! RP > breeding, at the very least in practice.

I'll miss all the exciting events, which I was never quite brave enough to enter but always had to follow, and I'm sad there will be no more new pets, but I think that with me no longer piling on new characters to my stash, it'll help me focus my energy into developing my existing ones.

SO no, I'm not planning on leaving this site, at least not for a good long time, and I'll admit it now that I'm one of the faithful few who will be hoping inside that you'll be back some day.

Goodbye, Baal, and have a good time wherever you end up from here!

You really took the words right out of my mouth. And I'd just like to say thanks to Baal and Ticky for all they have done over the past few years. I am really grateful that they have kept up with this site for so long. This is just one of those sites that I will probably never leave because it is so unique. No matter where you go, nothing is comparable to this community. I wish you good luck with your real life Baal and Ticky. And thanks for putting up with us for all these years.

I know I've been absent for quite a while, but... this was a shock...

I... really almost don't know what to say.

I don't feel betrayed or anything, I know how Baal must feel. After a couple years of this kind of responsibility and constant work, I would probably get burnout, too.

Still, it's kinda hard to wrap my mind around it. I guess all I can say is, you did a great job, Baal. :3 This place was possibly one of the best things that's ever happened to me (I know, that sounds corny, but really.) Being here gave me not only a more refined writing skill, but amazing people I can honestly call my friends. This was the first place I ever felt truly accepted, which gave me the confidence to find my place in RL; In a way, you guys gave me the push I needed to teach myself confidence. Thank you Baal, and everyone else who kept this place going so long. <3

Needless to say I feel really quite saddened by this but, everything comes in due time so I can't really say I'm extremely and totally surprised. But as I see it this has a lot of good too? XD I mean no more overpopulating Lucain or RL money trades, Paragon will stay rare as will customs, perhaps the economy will stabalize a bit? -attempts to see the bright side of things- I'm really glad that the Mods are staying around to keep at least a little piece of breedings up and running and the shops and whatnot.

BUt anyways... Baal I'm really glad that I had the chance to meet you. You're an insanely greatperson with an admireable sense of dedication, personally I don't know how I would have stayed as long as you through College and hectic life. You're an insanely talented artist with an amazing imagination and yeah. Lots of insane and amazingness X3; My only regret, is that I never got a piece of Baal art XD But I think I'll live drooling on someone else's P=

So I know this is generally sad and stuff but, I don't like being sad and besides, Goodbyes are always the beginning of a new Hello 8D; Or something like that.... Uh...wow, that took me a bit to...deal with. Tears actually came to my eyes, and that doesn't come too often. Yes, in a way, I'm a little hurt, but I'm not upset. I understand. In a way, I guess I did see something like this coming.

But I felt like I should I say thanks. Evelon helped me create who Jaden was, and I realized that Jaden was kind of who I wanted to be, on an emotional level. Slowly but surely, Evelon changed Jaden, and I changed along with her, which really helped me through my life. I had a bad school life right from grade 1 to 8, even when I changed schools, so I was scared of being myself, and I guess you could say, made myself a shell. Thanks to evelon, and everyone on it, I was able to break that shell, and even tell my family that I might have a small mood problem now, which brought about the search for a shrink. My friends became closer more and more as I told them about Jaden and her story, and they all know the name Evelon, same with my family.
So like Tori, Evelonians were my first close friends, which helped alot in RL.

So although I'm very sad about this, I'm happy that Evelon was able to support me this long. Now that I don't have any goals now, (with the loss of Lucain and Paragon, both breeding and customs), I can't guarentee I will stick around that much, but I can't just stop RPing so I'll still be here.

Enjoy your lives Baal and Ticky. You only live them once. It's not like you're gone from us, you're simply pulling out of your Admin status, right?

I've been looking at this topic again and again, not knowing what to say.

But here it goes.
I know that all good things must come to an end eventually, but I never even though this place would. I know that Evelon's not really ending, but without Baal here, it just won't be the same. Yes things have been slow lately, and I didn't really help the problem, since I've been off for a while too, but summer's finally here. I was hoping that I would jump back on here, we'd have a big 'school's out' event, and everything would be the same as it was before, when you couldn't be off the site for 2 or 3 days without something new and awesome happening. And it didn't have to be something big like a new pet or a war, it could be that another Snickle grew up, or that breeding rooms were released.

This was the first RP site that I really got into, and this place feels like my home away from home and most of the other users feel like family, so I'm not going to leave. Baal said she'll pop in now and then, so that's something good. Shrewd, Draiz and Kodai will be in charge and help the place.

Oh, and btw, I'LL MISS YOU BAAL!

See, I think if that were to happen, the site would still be able to run pretty well. Maybe you wouldn't be able to do customs anymore, since I don't know how people would pay for them, but you could probably still do breedings.

See, I also think it would help in keeping Evelon alive. x3 Because people really don't care much for Kuhnas anymore... ._.

Oh, and what about the Alonia pets that are still there? D:

HUN asked a question about contests (in the IRC), so those Alonia pets will most likely still be given out if we can think of a good contest idea, or even just small events happening on the forums (RPing events; think RE2 sort of thing). Maybe caption contests (if you remember the one with Xai're, Kodai, and Moofius), and some other contests... If people have any ideas, we're still interested in getting them, so long as the Mods can do them.

I care about the Kuhnas D: I've been here for two years I think, and never once got a kuhna breeding... I can't believe it. I ditched out for a year, and Now I've missed my chance of truly returning (or getting a custom...). I wish Baal n Tock the best, but they're not LEAVING, leaving, right? I'm still a little confused on the standpoint of their 'hiatus'. Is this permanent?
Well, whatever happens this site has been an inspiration for me, and I love all my fellow Evelonians.    Bleh, It's hard for me to write about all these different things going through my mind. I know one thing, this place never left me, and I'm really sorry I left it.

Baal and Ticky won't be working on Evelon things. So Ticky won't be coding new things (like ttee breeding or anything on the technical side). If something messes up with Evelon (like the "new topic" button decides to stop working) she'll fix that, but she won't be making new and cool things. Baal won't be drawing anymore pets or making any new plots. The two of them will, however, be around. You'll see them on the IRC and I think Baal mentionned maybe RPing some more? They'll be around but they won't be working.

Hell yes, I do feel betrayed.  

Some clue that you were growing bored/too busy might have been appreciated (and useful) sometime around Xmas time or Easter when folks were shelling out money on the belief they might breed their lucains or paragons or, you know, that the evolving critters might actually evolve.  

So.  Anyone want to buy my never bred customs?  Or the evolvers that will now never grow?

You're not obliged to spend money on a virtual pet site. Don't blame Baal for your 'loss' of money. Evelon remains an RPing site, so it's not like your pets are now useless. Yes, they won't be able to breed (unless, in some point in time, Baal gives us the PSDs), but it's not like they lose every other privilege they have.

It's not the first pet site that closed down. You should be glad we're trying to keep it alive. And you should be glad that we would try to keep Lucain/Paragon breeding going. We don't have the PSDs, but if Baal ever gives them to us, then we'll open Lucain/Pragon breeding again.

The slow activity and Baal's post in Hellos and Goodbyes was enough of a 'clue'. She's also offering to refund your uncompleted orders instead of just running off with your money.

Be betrayed, you're free to feel that way. But be betrayed with tact.

Shrewdberry, I blame no one else for my choice to spend money on a virtual pet site.  I invest in a few and, like you, I'm a long term moderator for one.  

Beyond unbreedable customs purchased on the basis they were breedable, I have no unfulfilled orders.    

For those of us who are adults, we should be able to appreciate that life happens and priorities change.

I understand your bias, Shewdberry, as well as your need to defend & protect the artist, the admins, and the site you continue to moderate.  

A refund for my two ordered lucain and one paragon (all unbred) would be wonderful.  If not, lesson learned, I guess.

The refund is only for orders that were not completed. If Baal refunded every Lucain and Paragon out there, she'd never be done, and she'd be indebted. It's like investing in a video game; at one point, no more games will be made for your console; or at one point, your older consoles will probably break. You can't ask for a refund after owning the console for 4 years. It's the same concept.

As for the main site, as Mods, we can't modify it; only Baal can. But we can point it out to her so she can change it.
