After reading the post below concerning the breeding reform, what do you think?

I voted for No, simply because I love the raffle system and hate the sniping system.

I can agree with a lot of the things posted here - less babies and a higher price for rooms, to make it easier for the mods and also because the thought of more rooms released at once seems to make it seem needed to have a higher price. I wouldn't mind paying more KS even for a raffle only or even GT to enter (I could imagine the payment of choice being reducted after winning like the custom raffles are). I'm also all for making the room keys an item like the BBs so that they can be used whenever we want.

However, the sniping system, I disagree with. I already loathe it enough with the BBs. The reason: Timezones. So you all know I tend to be online when the rest of you guys are, but that's because my sleeping cycle is completely messed up. And, quite frankly, I may be forced to go back to a "normal" one soon which will only let me be online between possibly 1pm and 7pm Evelonian time. And I'm not the only user from a vastly different time zone - I know that Mousen is just one hour off from my time and that Krypto is in a totally different timezone.

I like the raffle system not because I like raffles, but because they offer a huge time-zone to enter. That's what makes them fair. Even with Shrewdie's suggestion of announcing the time (which I personally actually like even less than normal sniping because users with fast computers have an even better chance then. Normal sniping allows at least some luck by seeing the restock before others do), it doesn't help much if people from other timezones have to be asleep then.

So I voted for "No". Not because I love raffles, but because sniping, simply because of its nature, discriminates a part of the community. I seriously wish BBs would get raffled off like customs, too.

I think it would be cool to have some combination of this as well as the raffles. Essentially, what Toxic said on the first page. I also like Azura's idea of "newbie raffles", but that's different discussion I guess.

When we still had the old sniping system in place, I was a pretty good sniper. But I can see why people might have reservations about it. I agree that a higher number of rooms per release and a set release time could help fix the problem, and I definitely believe that you should only be able to own one type of room at a time so there's no hoarding. I like the sound of 2-3 Paragon and 3-4 Lucain babies, and I'm not too conflicted about the price because you could potentially sell offspring for much more than you pay, depending on other users' interest levels.

To sum up my thoughts: A nice idea, but it may still be good to have raffles once in a while.

While I like the raffle idea because of its fairness to everyone, I also like the idea of having to buy a 'key' or whatever it is we'd be having to buy. No matter the price, I think it's a deal, because you could get 3-4 lucain pups or 2-3 paragon hatchlings for a mere 150 ks or $5. If you want a lucain or paragon in the market place you either have to pay two or three times that amount or have something the seller likes of equal value. The price would totally be worth it, at least in my eyes.

As for the sniping technique? I think it's a little unfair, but you don't have to get a 'key' each and every time they are released. I like the pre-posted time for releases, because that gives users a chance to get ready to post. Perhaps if the warning post is posted a full 24 hours (or more) before the actual release? That would give people enough time to see it and plan appropriately and be able to get on at that time, or simply say, nah, it's not worth staying up to an odd hour of the night to get it. There would always be another release, in the indefinite future, anyway.

I also like the idea of having a limit on how many each person can have saved. There could be a rule that states (if we had separate keys) that you can only have one a time (excluding diosol), like the breeding rooms themselves. (Sorry if this has already been stated by someone else, I haven't read every single word of every post yet.) You're not allowed to be in a paragon room and lucain room at the same time, so why should you be allowed to have one of each 'key'?

I would rather stick to the raffle system. I'm sorry but I never ever, even with time set in adavnce, have been able to get items that way. I never seem to be on when they happen and as thus I miss out. I also think the raffle is the mostfair  and those with little ks due to not having a lot of time still have an equal chance to get rooms.

The idea is nice but in practice I think it will not work. I can see the same people getting room after room each time they are released. Much like the diosol rooms right now. Many of us just cannot afford to save up all our KS and keep it all the time so that we have enough for when the next ones are ready to be sold. I'm sorry but I know I cannot earn 150 KS in a 24 hour period. I just can't, even if I just wrote the bare minimum of sentences.

I do agree fully with what Jobie said, that you should only be able to get one type of "room key," either Paragon or Lucain, not both, which then would enable users to pick their preference and increase the number of users that would get to use them. (I honestly wish that this was done for Diosol BBs as well, but yea.) Since we can't be in two rooms at once anyway, I think it makes it fair to state that you can only buy one or the other during a restock.

I also actually agree with having them limited to one of each on hand and, if you have one of that type, you can't buy another until it is used. Yes, maybe some people will rush things because of that rule, but at least they wouldn't be sitting around then?

Also, question, since a lot of people seem to agree on having a dual system, is it actually under consideration or could we vote for that? I haven't voted at all because the option I approve of doesn't seem to be listed. xD;

I think we all took "I think it's fine. Both systems are fine with me" as the "dual system" option. At least, I did.

Just to clarify: If we talk about this "Dual System", does that mean that raffles and sniping is independent from another? Because if they're not, I could agree with that. Like, five rooms get "sold" through sniping and five get raffled off at the same time. Those who snipe the rooms are not allowed to enter the corresponding raffle, giving people who can't be online at odd hours a better chance to win the raffle. That...would work for me.

Ah, no, I understood you fine. All I'm saying is that I prefer a pure raffle system to a dual system, but a dual system still more than a pure sniping system. Sniping is, in my eyes, the worst thing Evelon has had, ever.

I think the idea is great. With the raffles being so few and with so few being released with the raffles, we don't get to see many greetings. There are a lot of people out there that have breedings planned for their Cains for their story or background. Some of those people never get a chance to breed.

Thought, it may go back to the way when certain people only ever get them. But I do see people trading and selling the BB's, so I would figure that people would do the some with these. So in turn, people that can't afford them or are not on to get them would still have a chance. So this is a wonderful idea.

If we're really going to do this, I hope that at least we'll only be allowed to purchase EITHER a Gon or a Cain room and not both like we do with the BBs...at least that, to give more people a chance, really.

I believe that is covered under the idea of one per restock, Shieba. :3 If we go with that, then you can only purchase one room (either Lucain or Paragon) at a time, and you can only be in possession of one Lucain Room and one Paragon Room at a time.
