Inhabitants of the harsh Feighlei Ocean, the Great Sea Bork is a distant relative of the friendly Likutas inhabiting the waters of the Nodia Sea. The open waters leave them at a much greater risk, which led to the adaptation of thick plating along their back side. They're known for twisting up in tight balls if unable to escape a predator, leaving only their thick hide exposed. While not as flashy as their distant, smaller relatives, the Great Sea Bork is still known for putting on graceful aquatic performances, though mostly during the attraction of mates. In fact, it was during the sighting of one of these displays that the Bork was named by a scientist for the mating call that they make.
From now until 5 p.m. (17:00) EST, you could become the proud owner of one of these wondrous creatures! It's a few hours early right now, but this pet was made in celebration of my 21st birthday. Tomorrow (the 29th) I shall of course be aging once again. The Great Sea Bork started out as a blog reply from Baal and has become something of a representative of mine. Thanks to the help of Krypto (she originally made this version of the Bork back when Baal was testing the idea of her becoming a site artist) the Bork has made his way to Evelon now. Expect to see another Great Sea Bork related item turning up some time tomorrow as well. =)
