But there's nothing wrong with buying for your friends. It's not like Jessari made a conspiracy against fairness by getting 2 keys for Millie. All that means is that Jessari and Millie got their keys and won't be able to get any more keys later. Besides, don't you do something similar with your raffle-for-the-monthly-custom-raffle? You gather people you know to help you get a better chance at winning stuff, and you actually do it on an even bigger scale since it's not just between you and one other person. I don't see how it's strange to you when you're like the #1 person for this kind of thing P= Not that it's technically against the rules or preventable, but yeah.

Anyway, I'm sure the Mods will have something to say about this, so let's hear from them first. I really don't know how this could be improved, or if it even needs to be improved in the first place.

I think you're totally misunderstanding me, Thunder. First, I never said there was a conspiracy against fairness. People simply interpreted the rules differently and, like you, didn't see anything unfair with the current method. Which is, given what the event is for, completely correct in its own way.

And yes, I do admit the raffle is similiar, but it is a raffle. The chances are the same for everyone and not depending on sniping. For me, that is a huge difference. Also, there is a difference between a monthly thing and key releases, which are pretty rare and give you keys which sometimes sell for 30+GT...

As for how it could be improved, it's simple in my eyes: You are allowed to post for only one set of keys during each release, like per standard rules. So basically, you are still able to get keys for your friends, but only during a second release when you got some for yourself during the first one. This way, more people posting get keys and the option to buy some for friends still remains.

But again, that's just me. I didn't even think this would end up being such a big discussion. I just asked here in the first place because I wasn't sure about the rules, remember that. I'm not super-protesting or anything. All I wanna do is understanding the rules. D8;;;;

Meaning: you HAVE to RP your post; you HAVE to post five (5) sentences; you CANNOT buy more than ONE (1) of each key type! Such and such; the basic rules STAND.

So no, sadly, you CANNOT buy a pair of keys EACH RELEASE. You can still only buy one (1) Lucain Key and one (1) Paragon Key! It would defeat the point of having so many releases all together if the same people or so could just keep buying keys.

These were Shrewd's exact words in the first post. Standard rules. Only buy ONE of each key type per release. As in one. Not one for you, one for a friend. One. Uno. Ichi. Un. Just saying guys... It does say clearly that you're limited to buying one.

as you can't buy more than one key type, as that is a standard rule, BUT as an EXCEPTION you can also buy keys for friends.  Now seeing other people's posts and points, I recognize that I was most likely mistaken and that particular exception was to the rule that you can't buy a pair during each release.  But I'm curious to know, will whole post will be voided because of it?  Or will I be limited to only buying one pair that round and have to come back later?  I apologize if I offended anybody by attempting to buy two pairs of keys at once, but I was under the honest impression that that was allowed.  :S

The rules are very obviously worded in a way that can easily be interpreted in both the "exception" way and the "standard rule" way. If I somehow sounded like I felt that you offended me, I'm sorry. ... I would just like to ask why nobody posted before the release. I was up until two hours (yes, Kreepy was right, I derped when I posted the time stamp) before the release, yet nobody bothered to say they still didn't understand the rules.

I haven't read everyone's arguments going back and forth, so I'll just explain the system again and see if this time it will make people understand.

Can I buy Keys for friends during the same release? Yes. What Jessari did is fine, because while she bought two pairs, she specified that one was going to Millie.

This also means that Millie cannot buy for herself anymore. If she'd left her post in this morning, it would've been VOIDED because there were already two keys to her name.

I said that standard rules applied. Yet people don't catch on to that, and I don't understand why.

If standard rules apply, that means that YOU CAN BUY A PAIR FOR YOURSELF. You just can't buy a pair EVERY SINGLE RELEASE. If you did that, then it would defeat the point of having so many releases all together. Because if you DID do the above, then that's 8 Keys to a single person.

The only EXCEPTION TO THE RULE is if you're buying to a FRIEND, the way Jessari did it. Why couldn't you buy for a friend at the same time? I didn't specify anything, and usually you guys are pretty good at picking out loopholes. And listen in the event that I wouldn't have allowed it, Jess's post could've still passed. I'm not a freaking Nazi. If you guys make mistakes, I can let them slide.

And listen, if people do what Cookie suggested and can't be civil, well, honestly that's their problem. We can't control everything when it comes to people, so if they're too greedy to understand the concept of the different release times, there's honestly not much I can do.

I will rewrite the rules since obviously I can't write English anymore since no one understood any of the rules, apparently. I will try to get them up before the 6PM release (which is roughly 3 hours away) but I can't guarantee it since I have to leave shortly. =3=

I think no one asked, Shrewdie, because no one was confused back then. It didn't even occur to me in my wildest thoughts that one could possibly buy more than one of each key type during each release, no matter if for friends or not. And Millie, Jessari and Pickle obviously never doubted that it was like you obviously intended it to be. So the confusion only arose when stuff turned out like it did. But good that things got cleared up now, seems like I got it wrong then.

Now that you know the release times, what changes in terms of rules? Well, all STANDARD RULES still apply! However, we do have some exceptions to certain rules!

So let's review our rules and see which ones have some added exceptions this time around!

.: RULES :.

* You may ONLY post a room if you have a key for that type of room on hand; you may also only be in ONE (1) type(Kuhna, Lucain, Paragon, Diosol) of room at a time. If you finish with your room you may move on to use another room type.


* You may only buy ONE of each key type per restock.

EXCEPTION!: While you still cannot buy more than 2 keys (1 per type) for yourself throughout this event, that doesn't mean you can't buy keys for FRIENDS! You can even buy them at the same time as you are buying YOURS! So yes, you CAN buy 4 keys (2 of each type) during a single release... BUT, ONE of the pairs MUST go to a friend!

If you do NOT specify that you are buying a pair for a friend, you post will be VOIDED! Example:

User A: "I would like to buy two (2) Lucain Keys and two (2) Paragon Keys!"
^ VOIDED. You are buying two pairs for YOURSELF, which is forbidden!

User B: "I would like to buy two (2) Lucain Keys and two (2) Paragon Keys! One pair should go to User C!"
^ ACCEPTED. You are clarifying that one pair is going to your friend, and that's A-OK!

In that same vein, however, please do note that your friends cannot buy more pairs for YOU, and vice versa! What does this mean? Well, if you have bought/are buying keys for yourself, your friend cannot buy you any extra keys! The same rule applies backwards: you cannot buy keys for your friend if they've already bought/are buying for themselves! We are applying this in order to avoid abuse, because then rich users could just keep enriching themselves, or cliques could just keep buying keys for themselves between each other.

Furthermore, please don't use this rule to control the traffic of keys! Be nice and don't just buy all 6 pairs for yourself and 5 of your friends. Ultimately, those people can't buy them themselves afterwards, but the different release times are to help international players and others to have a good chance. Don't ruin it for people who can't make it to all four releases! Just be respectful and understand that everyone would like a fair chance.


* You have fourteen (14) real days to complete a breeding. There will be NO exceptions to this time limit since you use the room when you feel is a good time.

* Keys will be released with a time delay; you may not claim a key before the time specified. Times will be randomly rolled.

* If you ask for a key without roleplaying (full 5 sentences) your post will be ignored.

* If you wish to gift or sell your keys to a user, please notify us here and the transaction will be recorded. By notify, we obviously mean roleplay that (5 sentences) your key is going to someone else.

* Please remember all times are posted in Evelon (Eastern) Standard Time.

While it's not a HUGE drop in price, for these releases the keys will be 95KS or 4GT! It's not the biggest drop of all times, but it's still something!


If you STILL have many questions, PLEASE let me know! I will delay the release to 7-8 or need be. I want this to go smoothly, so please don't hesitate to post. Even if it's just to confirm a rule to make sure you understand, post! I would rather that than a backlash.

Considering people were confused this morning, I will release more keys this release than I'd intended. If some international users still didn't get any keys, then I might do an extra release especially for them (meaning any non North-American users) so they can have a fair chance.

Before you'd changed the rules, it had said something along the lines of "if you miss one key type the first round, you can try again later!"
But, in my post I asked for two Lucain Keys and two Paragon Keys.  It was voided because there was only one Paragon Key left.  
So our order has to be exactly for the amount left in stock?  Why not say "Sorry, we don't have everything that you're asking for, but you can still have what's left since that's part of what you ordered" instead of "Sorry, what you're asking for isn't exactly what we have so you don't get anything at all."
Because that makes it so that you can't exactly miss one key type unless you ask for only one key type.  8| Does... my question make sense?  I hope so.  XD

Shrewd probably did it that way because that's how we've always done it. Both in the breeding area and in the marketplace. It's a lot easier on us and other users trying to keep count than to have to make a note in the post that you only got one key or something along the lines.

Yes, as Draiz has explained. I think things could get really messy if we started counting exactly. That rule doesn't change, because like Draiz said, it's always been done this way.

Okay I have a sorta dumb question. The breeding center says all the purchases have been recorded, but the front post says that there are six keys still. Are there really still keys or did someone forget to update the first post?
