Hey there guys!
So, just a few weeks shorts of our one year anniversary of the Kuhna revamp, I noticed something pretty great. Ever since Evelon's humble beginnings in 2006 and the start of Kuhna breeding, Evelon's community has managed to breed over 500 litters!
Hey there guys!

500!
I don't know about you, but that's a lot of cats! And it only took us 9 years to get there!
9!
I don't know about you, but that's a long time!
I brought it up to Baal and I thought, 500 is half of 1000... what a milestone! So why not celebrate it? Right?
And what better celebration to 500 Kuhna litters... than another Kuhna! Right? Right?
You know you want it.

Mirror Kuhna
[Post to claim! ONE (1) per person!]
This little critter is known as a Mirror Kuhna, and it will be available for pickup for one (1) week! So you have until Sunday, March 22, 2015 at 11:59PM EST to adopt one! And then the code will be taken down.
And this kid doesn't only come with its unique watery, starry pelt that no other Kuhna has. No no; this little critter even has brand new breeding genes!
Mirror genes are similar to Elder/Wildcard genes. How do they work?
It's mostly technical as far as we, the staff rolling your litters, are concerned. But for the sake of FYI, have a little example below.
Mirror genes mimic Elders in a weaker fashion. Let's say you're trying to breed with a Preluhna. This is your pairing:
x
We know the Preluhna has set genes, so how do the Mirror genes come into play here?
Mirror genes go according to their namesake: they mirror another Kuhna species' genes. While they are limited to existing Kuhnas, you never know which one you're gonna get!
The staff will be rolling a random litter using the Kuhna litter generator. Rolling one just now, here are the results I got:
From those results... the mod rolling your litter can pick any of those results. Since the Tainted Kuhna hasn't been bred on the new lines, let's take that one for tonight's example.
Your breeding that started out as Mirror x Preluhna has now become Tainted x Preluhna. Which could give you the following babies: Ghastly, Forgotten, Revelate, Darkflame, Preluhna, Sulkuhna, Calamikuhna.
But that was just that room... Whoever breeds with it again will get another set of genes!
Bottomline, you don't get a completely random litter, but it's still random in its own way. Isn't that cool?
Anyway, keep enjoying breeding things, guys. As the one staff member who is absolutely in no way, shape, or form, biased towards Kuhnas, I encourage you to breed more of them.
Off you go! Let's try to reach the 1000 milestone next!
