Moof: Canadians are weeeeeird. Fish eyes? Haha. And I thought poutine was weird...
However, if what I have heard about Canadian cuisine is true, you confirm a belief I have long had--that macaroni and cheese/Kraft dinner is MEANT to be eaten with ketchup.
Of course, all I have to go on in terms of evidence is an article in a Bathroom Reader and a Barenaked Ladies song.... XD
Of course, we Americans eat some pretty strange food, too. Like chicken-fried steak and red-eye gravy... But if we're talkin' about "foods consummed by native peoples," there are two we have here that are AWESOME:
1. Prickly pear fruit and everything made from it (jelly and fruit leather, usually). Yum. Cactus fruit in general is actually pretty yummy stuff.
2. Bison. Everybody calls bison "buffalo," but they're two different animals. And bison sausage is goooooood.
