Elements!

Postby Kodai » 05/07/2008 7:25 PM

They're finally here! Go take a look and see what elements (if any) your pets have and read up on how they affect battle (if you choose to use elements in battle)!

:3 Lucain and Kuhna elements will come later.

Ooh. Neato. ^.^

Hmm.  Are there going to be any rules about changing your element and what not?  Because theoretically if a person went to his opponent's pen before a battle and saw the opposing pet had Fire, but the first person had Ice, so they change to Metal which is fed by Fire.  They changed their element so the fight was in their favor.

Or some scenario like that.  XD

Yeah though.  Kind of like fixing a fight or... I don't know.

Elements cannot be changed from battle to battle. Once an element is decided and recorded for a pet, that's it.
Which brings up the point. You may, if you wish, choose an element of your pet and change it to one of your choice. That's ONE element per pet. (In case people have those special 'fire-type that uses ice' thing.)

Let's put it this way:  Say you had a Clockwork Bleeder.  Bleeders are filed under the Dark element right?  But since he's Clockwork it also makes him Metal.  Does this mean the Bleeder would have two elements or does the owner have to choose one?

If your pet has some sort of plot/plan-related power, can you change it's usual element to something else?
How can you see into my eyes like open doors,
Leading you down into my core where I've become so numb,
Without a soul my spirit's sleeping somewhere cold,
Until you find it there and lead it back home...

Can we give our pets extra elements? Also, what if their color element and species element are the same?
Crossing my heart
Open wide
You're my crystal and clover
All of me
Honestly
Is dedicated to hold you

Swear to God
Double knot
What would you do if I stole you tonight? (Ahh ahh)
Why waste time? (Ahh ahh)

'Cause the world goes on without us
It doesn't matter what we do
All silhouettes with no regrets
When I'm melting into you
'Cause I belong in your arms
I belong in your arms

Since she didn't mention anything about that, I'd say that you can't give extra elements. But if the colour and species elements are the same, well, you're welcome to change one to whatever you like, as per the rules.

Once you get locked into a serious music collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

Well, mountains are kinda cold. x3

And yes, if your pet has no element, you can give it one, but only one. No extras. So think carefully!

-ish confused-

If a pet has the element Acid (for example) would the pet have all of the traits listed under Acid? ((if that made any sense))

Well, if it's the color that the pet was given(like Acid is Venom pets) then I would assume yes, but if you're talking about pets that you voluntarily give the trait acid, then I would leave that for Kodai to answer.
About you and me: it's plain to see,
We only ever want to stay inside and watch TV,
Because that's just as good a memory,
You're just good company,
And I am finally accepting that.

Remember the time when we stole the whole day?
And nobody knows it, we took it away,
And it will be forever mine,
And it will be forever yours
Now we own the night, and it can't be undone,
We'll never forget how it feels to be young,
Cos it will be forever mine,
And it will be forever yours.

I did not make my avatar.

No, a pet does not automatically gain all the Traits of an element just because it is of that element. It gains the Traits listed under its color/species.

Just a note: Elemental attacks in the family of Pyro (as in, cause damage) will only be able to be used once per battle now to prevent overuse.
