[I promise I'm working on that D&D thing shh; for now, here's something a smidge different!]
"Are you lost, little pet?" A thin, waiflike voice was the last thing you expected to come out of the tall, pale man that approaches where you stand on the edges of Whisper Forest. "Ahaha! Sorry, that was a bit sudden of me, wasn't it. Oh, no, I think you're exactly where you ought to be. You must have signed up for the Forest Protection meeting today, didn't you? Conservation is very important, you know. Very important..." Something about this man really sets you on edge, but yes, you did sign up for that. You wonder briefly where the other group members are. Surely there's more than just you...?
"Well," he begins, outstretching his hands in a welcoming gesture. "I'm the spearhead of this project, I suppose you could say, though I'm certainly not the one in charge. She lives in the forest just down the path. It's a very large house; you can't possibly miss it! That's where everyone else has already gathered." You nod slowly, personally unnerved by the man's soft voice and white, ghostlike features, but you offer as polite a smile as you can and thank him as you walk into the sunlit forest.
This path is a lot longer than you thought it would be, you think to yourself. At least the scenery is pretty... and it smells strangely nice. But... you're getting awfully sleepy. That's weird, you definitely got a good night's sleep last night. You definitely...
WHUMP. With the tottering grace of a falling tree, you tumble to the ground and hit the soft leaves, and the sound of birds twittering is the last thing you hear before your vision fades entirely into darkness.
Yadda yadda yadda I really do tend to drag these things on, haha. Guilty as charged. But! I figured throwing up a sketchy (as in, not very well developed, but probably the other kind of sketchy as well) plot idea that's open for anyone to join in would be a fun little thing? This plot is roughly based on a dream that I had about a year ago and never quite forgot about it. So here's the basic rundown of things:
Your character has signed up to take part in a forest conservation club/group/thing because people have been littering and vandalizing things and making a general mess of the place. However, when your character tries to get to the place they're designated to meet, they fall asleep in the forest. When your character wakes up, they're in a really large room inside of an even larger mansion with several other people, some of whom are just now sitting up and looking around, others who have been there for a little while and are trying to make sense of things. Does your character still have their memory? That's for you to decide. Are they going to try to find a way out? I certainly hope so. There's definitely something that feels very off about that mansion.
As many people can join as they want, but if it gets to be over like 7 people then things might get hectic sobsbs. So I'm unsure about that at the moment. This isn't a user hosted event and there won't be any prizes, but I do very much hope that you all will like my little plot idea and possibly want to join a big ol' mass open RP about it? This is more of an interest check than anything, hoho! I do plan to have a few fun twists and turns along the way as everyone tries their hardest to escape!
