A very skinny man in a large robe walks up to a microphone on a video that you received in your inbox of your mail. "Uhhh, testing, testing. Is this thing on?" He said in a very nasally voice, he tapped the mic and a loud thumping sound came out of your speakers. You hear audible yelling behind the camera and the man jumps a little in fright and he says "Ahh sorry," He clears his throat and continues "Hello my fellow adventurers! I have simultaneously hacked into each of your e-mail accounts and sent this to you for one simple fact! I am lonely...." He drops his head a little and the guy behind the camera is urging him to go on with his speech. "So you may be wondering, why does this LOSER, of a person want with me? Well I wan't you to play a game with me. Not in that creepy sense where I will trap you in a room and you have to find your way out, no no. I want to play a board game with you! If you look at the contents of the e-mail, you will find a small file that describes the game that I have in mind. If you are willing to play, send me a reply that you want to join and I will tell you how to get to the meeting place. Come as yourself or as someone else, just come alone. Now then, lets get started." He clasps his hands together and the video ends. You look at the contents of the file and the description of the game pops up.

The Demon King Assassination Game

Story:

The Demon King was mortally wounded in combat, but was able to escape to a small outcropping of towns. The king has surrounded the area with troops, locking the Demon King inside, the townspeople do not know what is going on and the King would like to keep it a secret that the Demon King escaped his grasp. So he hired four assassins to kill the Demon King, and that is you. Your goal is to kill the Demon King in secret, by any means necessary. But the Demon King has incredible healing powers and it is estimated that in two days, he will be fully healed and will kill everyone in a two hundred mile radius. You must kill him before that happens.

How to Play:

Have a team of four people and one person who will act as the Game Master. The teams will select three weapons at the start of the game and each will start out with a cloak, a map, and leather armor. You only have thirty usable hours in the forty eight given to you, due to lack of light and the need for sleep. Every turn takes one hour, and every player takes a turn in order then the game master gives the results of the person's actions. For every action you take, there is a possibility to gather information, that is how you will find the whereabouts of the Demon King. All information gathered by an assassin is only known by that assassin. If anyone takes someone else's  information as their own, they will be kicked out of the game. There is also a slight possibility that someone may be able to gather information at night, so as to not completely waste your sleeping time. There is only one thing that everyone knows, its that the Demon King is heavily injured around his chest and right arm, and that his hair and eyes are pitch black. Other than that, you have no information on his whereabouts or what he is wearing.

How to Win:

Its simple, you kill the Demon King. But you need to find him first, and to find him you gather information from various places in the towns that you are in. There are three towns, and in each there will be a Blacksmith, a Central Courtyard, a Mayor's House/ Town Hall, A Back-ally Pub, an Inn, Stables. When you start your turn, you may go to one of these three places and gather information. The towns are connected to each other by a road, and the towns connect in a triangular pattern, to travel to a town takes an hour, so keeping travel to a minimum is highly suggested.

Combat:

Combat is determined by three different dice rolls, each representing the opening of combat, the middle of the action, and the ending of the combat. The quality of your rolls will determine the outcome of the combat.

Weapons and What they do:

Long Sword-Very visible, Hits hard
Short Sword- Visible, Hits Moderately
Daggers- Invisible, Precise
Bow +10 Arrows- Can be hidden, Takes more hits than a Crossbow, short reload
Crossbow + 6 bolts- Visible, High kill rate, Long Reload
Throwing Knives- Invisible, Short range, No reload
Hammer- Extremely Visible, One hit kill

Rules:

+You may only be represented once.
+You control the game piece, your pet that you enter is not the one that is actually hunting the Demon King, if you have any questions on this feel free to PM me.
+All actions will be started by you and finished by the game master at the time.
+You get 3 chances to kill someone other than the other players, if you fail all three, you are taken by the guards and hanged for murder.
+No taking other people's information as your own, though if you meet up on the board you can exchange information.
+Keep in mind that you are roleplaying around a table, so when you call out your actions keep this into consideration.
+The one who wins is the one who kills the Demon King, and that person will be the only one to receive the prize.
+While you can only start out with three weapons, you can gather supplies at the stores, I will list what is able to be bought at the beginning of the game because each game will have different items to be bought.

FAQ's

Q:"I posted two people in the post, but who is playing what roll?"

A: If this was real life and you were playing this around a physical table, the person who is submitting the application would be yourself, so to speak. They will be the people in the physical world whereas the person who is in the application is the person in the imaginary world, so the speak. I have updated the form since this question was asked, so problems should be fewer.

For this first set of games, there will be a 50 KS entry fee for each participant. Do not send KS until the room has been started. The prize will be 250 KS for this first round.

The blinds were drawn over the window, shutting out the blinding summer sun, but even with the room cast in shadow, everything felt like it was dripping with mid-summer heat. The fan droned in the corner, but all it served to do was push more hot air around the already hot room. Ava sipped at her lemonade, bored and overheated, mindlessly scrolling through her Tumblr. A notice appeared at the bottom of her screen, alerting her that she received a mail. Clicking on it, Ava frowned at the video, her eyes growing wide with confusion. Was this a prank? Or a chain email? It didn't seem like it. Shrugging her slim shoulders, Ava took the code from her mail and plugged in a random character. It wasn't like she had anything better to do. It could be fun.

Dukhaan's eyes stopped on a particularly odd e-mail, his face smushed into his wrist as he leaned on the library desk. He squinted at it, then moved the mouse to open it, and gasped as the video started playing out loud. Several people shushed him as a stream of hushed curses spilled out of his mouth, and he hurriedly grabbed some earbuds and shoved them into the earphone jack, then let out a breath of relief, glaring at the figure on screen. What was all of this bullcrap about a game...? Well... Dukhaan supposed this... could be interesting...

In the dimly lit cabin just outside the Town of Nabias, Mattias browsed the web on his old desktop computer.  He'd just contacted a client he'd been employed by to hunt Kasuga for their antlers when he suddenly got a ping.  His eyes drifted to the inbox icon where there was a flashing notification.  Upon further inspection, a rather odd video popped up and a man started talking this spiel about ... a game?  Matt turned up his volume to hear what the man was saying with an amused expression.  

When it was all said and done, and all the game info read, the man paused for a brief second to think it over.  He inhaled deeply, taking a puff of his cigarette before taking it and flicking it over the nearby ashtray then moved his mouse up to the reply button.  Typically, he'd disregard an email like this as spam but, seeing as business had slowed lately, it'd be an interesting distraction.  Besides, it involved hunting.  That's what he did best.

It had been awhile since Aeron had done anything that was purely for his own enjoyment. In the past, he used to participate in various board game tournaments so often he could've done it professionally.  Unfortunately, those times never did permit his pursuit of such aspirations, and he ended up always tied down by his brother's messes.  Unlike his brother, however, Aeron hardly had any experience socializing with others.  When he came to these events, it was usually purely for the game.  However, despite his naivety to all things behavioral, he could tell that whoever their host was this evening was clearly suppressing some serious issues, referring to himself as a "loser" and whatnot.  Nevertheless, the strange message had caught Aeron's attention, which was enough to get him to participate.

The screen lights up again and four people are greeted by a familiar face. "Hello, ah yes, I have got enough people for one game. I will send you the location. Come alone and you will face no problems. Just bring yourselves, also snacks, snacks would be good."

Game 1 has started. I will PM the players where it will be. Also, I opened another room if people still want to join, though the people who are already in the first room can not. Have fun!
