She was obviously the first one in the arena, but then again, she had never been patient. In fact, it was probably rather surprising that nothing else had caught the attention of the crazy Fellox and she hadn't wandered off. Chaotic bounced up and down, waiting for her opponent who turned out to be a Drakelph. "Ooooh! A hat! That's chaotic! I liiiiiike your hat! I want it! On my nose! I want it on my nose!" Chaotic bounced around her opponent, seemingly oblivious that the battle had, indeed, started already. She made no move to lash out yet, but instead continued to circle the poor other pet who was stuck with her for now. "Oooh! Oooh!" Well, maybe she wasn't completely unaware, for her cooing turned shrill and rather painful for the ears. "Ooooh!"

The Drakelph scampered into the arena. Whew, this had been hard to find, what with all those hallways. She stood up on her hind legs, looking around and spotting her opponent. So it was a Fellox. A very colorful Fellox. Who instantly started fawning over her hat. Chaotic? "My hat-" Her words were lost on the creature, who was now inceasantly bouncing around her. The Drakelph had to put her paws to her ears as the cooing grew louder and louder. Was this some sort of twisted battle tactic?! The Drakelph didn't like to be mean, but she didn't have much choice of escape. "Muulp vu reiif ta Skolef" she muttered under her breath, and turned around, running away as a small plume of fire lunged at the canine's face. Hopefully that would buy her enough escape time.

Chaotic finally stopped making her horrible noises and also stopped bouncing when the small flame barely missed her face. "Oooh! You blew fiiiiiirrrrre at me! That was not chaotic! Nuuuh-uuuuh!" She started to give chase and followed the Drakelph. "Oooh! I knooow! I'll blow things your way, too! Meeee toooo! And I'll do it really chaotic! You'll see! You'll seeeee!" Dark shadows appeared besides her and were suddenly flung at the poor, other pet, attempting to strike it down.

The Drakelph let go of the spell, relieved she had escape and it had put an end to the horrible noises. She saw a metal bar sticking out of the side of the arena wall - that would do for some propulsion. She ran for it as fast as she could, knowing the Fellox was close behind. Although it's ramblings were extremely hyper and mostly senseless, some of it still made her wonder. Fire wasn't chaotic? The creature leaped onto the bar and turned around - to be faced with a multitude of shadows barreling her way. Even she couldn't spout magic that fast. She instinctively leaped into the air, hoping to miss the shadows. She glided overhead, aimed towards the wound-up canine. "So, you like things chaotic?" the Drakelph mused aloud, as she sent a witchlight zig-zagging down towards the Fellox's nose. Witchlights. She didn't need spells for those. Hopefully the light would provide a distraction, and she could land on the Fellox's back to do some damage.

Well, seemed like all her bouncing wasn't that good for aiming. But Chaotic wouldn't be chaotic if that would faze her at all. Instead, she cooed when she saw her shadows hitting the walls of the arena, creating dust. "I made arrrrrt!" And then the little, furry thing was almost upon her, but her jumping saved her again from getting hit. "Yeeees! I like chaotic things! Because they are chaotic! Uuuuh-huuuh!" Huh, they were talking now. Not that it distracted Chaotic from aiming (badly) again. "I made arrrrt! Now I make muuuusic!" Well, it wasn't really music - just really, strange, confusing waves.

Thank goodness the shadows had missed. Though with the distraction, she had glided too far to land on the Fellox. "Kaam chrep," she whispered, as she dropped onto a wooden perch that appeared out of nowhere. No, she wasn't a bird; but this way she could get back into the air if needed. She turned around to see the flaming canine jumping up and down as the shadows slowly seeped into the wall. The Drakelph almost winced at the Fellox's next words. Music? Her ears were already ringing from the earlier noises. And sure enough, it turned out to be a random jumble of sounds. The Drakelph flattened her ears in an attempt to keep the noise out. The crowd seemed to be just as confused about the going-ons as she was. She gritted her teeth, thinking. Well, the Fellox had said she liked chaotic things. "Dnores Skolef thiw zepordmug tath snad oot reh kisoom," she said, leaping off the perch as it disappeared. Instead it was replaced by - were those gumdrops? - that surrounded the Fellox, bouncing - no, more like... dancing? Yes, dancing, bouncing to the irregular beat of the canine's "music". The Drakelph twisted in the air, before folding her arms in and diving towards the Fellox, attempting another Flyby Attack.

Chaotic, though it was unclear how she always managed to do so since she didn't seem really focused, had avoided another attack and was obviously also pleased with the result of whatever she had done. "Noooow you are chaotic!" she declared happily. Well, maybe not entirely happily since she seemed to be a bit out of breath. Or more like out of power, really. "I'm gonna jummmmp on top of you now!" she informed her opponent. "It will be funnnn and chaotic!" She bounced up and down and it was probably really unfortunate that the Drakelph wasn't any taller, because Chaotic sure had a strange way to attack.

The Drakelph spread her arms, gliding to the floor at the last second. She had missed, no thanks to this constant ringing in her ears. Why she had gotten matched against such a noisy partner she couldn't understand. Surely not all competetors were like this, right? She turned around, her hat dropping backwards. Although out of breath, the Fellox had resumed it's bouncing. And it apparently was trying to jump on her. Great. The Drakelph clutched her crooked hat, shoving it back on her head as she nimbly dodged the falling legs and paws. "Nrut uth rolf uutni aa neeloopmart," she said aloud, scrambling backwards. The floor quickly became bouncy. Like a trampoline, really. Some of the audience gasped in suprise, and the small creature couldn't help a smile. If she was lucky, the Fellox's bouncing would propell it high enough to do some damage. Bump the ceiling maybe? Just had to wait and see. The Drakelph started bouncing on the ground lightly, trying to keep a safe distance from her flaming blue opponent.

[ There's nothing to be confused about; my focus was to start applying Horrific Moan properly, and I forgot to mention/roll for Sonic Waves. That's all. ]

"Weeee!" Chaotic had fun with the bouncy ground, even though she stumbled over her feet and got a good knock on the head. "You are chaotic! This is fuuuun!" Bouncing on the Drakelph had obviously been fun, too. And now that the ground was like this, this was even better. Chaotic sure had a good time in the arena now; she didn't care at all that she got hurt since it wasn't that bad yet. "I'll jump on you agaaaaain!" Which was a bit more difficult now with the magic in effect, but that didn't stop her from trying. "Weeeee!"

Well, she had done some damage to the Fellox, which was good. Although that damage had transfered to her when the Fellox had practically smothered her. The Drakelph grunted, pulling herself off to the side. The ringing in her ears was getting louder by the second, and it was making thing quite disorienting for her. The trampoline floor bumped and buckled from the Fellox's weight.

Hmm. That gave the Drakelph an idea. Scooting herslef closer to the Fellox, the heavy bounces served to help propell herself higher when she timed herself right. She started bouncing, and soon she was flying in the air even higher than the Fellox had gone. Seeing the blue creature below her, she soared down, aiming to land on the Fellox's back. This was actually a little fun.

( I'm confused - why does it show her as hitting twice, but only dealing the damage of one hit?)

She's not 'hitting'. It's under Sonic Waves, and it tells you whether she's hitting her opponent (HIT) or if she's hitting herself (MISS). It's impossible to hit twice in a single turn.
