Sayashin strolled into the arena, with a cloak wrapped around her body, concealing her features. She gripped her trusty dagger firmly in her jaws and leered at her opponent. It was an Elder Kuhna, a male by the looks of it. She had heard of these Kuhnas and their potent magical powers before, and unfortunately, she did not have too much experience against magic-users. Most of her previous targets were just petty crooks or normal people. But the assassin supposed that this would be good practice for the future.

In a flash, Sayashin flung off her cloak. There was no need to be stealthy here, and the cloak would just weigh her down. She swiftly dashed towards her opponent, knife raised, prepared to use an Arterial Strike.

Fuyuki walked calmly into the arena. The roar of the audience rang in his ears, and made him a little dizzy. He studied his opponent, who promptly threw off her cloak-- at this point he could tell it was a woman-- and rushed toward him. He gasped at the swiftness of her first attack, and drew his own sword. The young man attempted to leap out of the way of the charging female and her knife, at the same time slashing outward at her with his sword in a Blade attack.

(So, question; since Fuyuki is level 7 now, does that affect his stats in this battle at all? o3o)

Any stat increase happens after the tournament. They could potentially kick you out of the game (if your Defense goes up to 21) and it could just be unfair to the other fighters who didn't happen to get level up(s). So until you win or are disqualified, don't apply any stat increase to your stats. c:

[Thunder]

Sayashin growled as her knife sliced through air. Although she seemed to have initially taken the Elder Kuhna off guard, he reacted swiftly enough for her to miss. Thankfully, though, his weapon missed her as well. Another abrupt attack like the one she just tried to launch would be difficult, as now her opponent could anticipate what she could do. So Sayashin changed strategies. She spun around and dashed at him again, hoping to get the arm that held the sword.

Fuyuki frowned as his sword missed its target. This woman was fast! But he had still managed to evade her attack. He grinned and looked toward his opponent, to see that she was rushing at him once again with her knife. Gripping his sword tightly in his hands, he turned his body toward her and gritted his teeth. Light pulsed from his hands and through the sword, lighting it up to a shining golden color. He dashed forward and slashed at her once again in a Ray attack.

Although Sayashin landed her attack, she felt the blade of light cut her shoulder. She hissed and leaped backwards, leering at her contender. That was a powerful strike, although she wasn't sure if its strength was from the magic or the weapon itself. Additionally, she only did a slight bit of damage to the Kuhna. Perhaps she should focus on dodging his sword and get in hits when she found an opening. Once more, Sayashin ran at him with her dagger in her jaws.

(Just wondering, didn't Thunder do 4 damage? So Fuyuki should have 26 Endurance now? Please ignore this if I'm wrong~)

A grin spread across Fuyuki's face. He hit her! And the amount of damage he had dealt wasn't half bad either. He glanced at his arm and saw that his opponent's knife had found its way across his skin. A thin line of blood showed and pain throbbed around the wound. The fight was far from over, that was for sure. Well, the Ray attack went so well last time, he decided to try and land another one. Fuyuki raised his sword as it glowed once more, and rushed at his opponent, blade out and ready.

[Thunder]

Sayashin growled to herself as her blow landed. She had hit him, and he had missed her by a hair, but the wound she inflicted was a very minor one. It seemed like this battle would become a test of endurance and accuracy. The assassin readjusted her grip on the knife. Her eyes focused on the Kuhna's sword arm again as she rushed forth.

Fuyuki winced slightly as his opponent's knife grazed his shoulder, but the wound was very minimal. That last light attack had drained his energy, however. I can't believe that missed, Fuyuki thought, baring his teeth in anger. He panted with the effort and whirled around to face the assassin once more, the arm that held his sword bleeding with the last few wounds she had landed. He flicked his tails and dashed forward, holding his sword so that it blocked his bleeding arm, at the same time swinging forward at her middle area.

Sayashin felt the breath get knocked out of her as the sword hit her in the stomach. She was flung backwards a few feet before hitting the ground. She hissed and tried to block out the pain as she struggled to get up. A powerful blow, she thought to herself. Perhaps she had underestimated her opponent. Sayashin felt significantly weaker, but she wasn't ready to give up. She gathered her strength and leaped at the Kuhna once more.

Fuyuki's tails curled with excitement as his opponent was forced backwards by his attack. For his first commercial fight, he was doing quite well, he figured. He looked down at his arm and noticed the Lucain's spines had punctured him slightly. His opponent certainly looked weakened, yet he still had a reliable amount of strength in him. But the fight wasn't over yet. No getting cocky, he reminded himself, positioning himself in a fighting stance as his foe rushed at him once more. He held his sword close to him and watched his opponent. When she got close enough, he would whip his sword out and point it directly at her; maybe she would be moving too fast to dodge it.
