Ugh... disqualified? That hopefully wouldn't happen this time, with any luck, Kapari thought, flicking her eyes across the arena, searching for her opponent.
This one, she knew nothing about. She didn't know how they attacked - whether they were a magic user like the first kuhna, someone with balanced abilities like the mad fellox, or purely physical like herself.
She hoped that they were one of those freaking magic users, they completely unnerved her, with their otherworldly powers. If she had taken a human form, the hairs on her arms would have risen just thinking about it.

Kapari locked her eyes on the other side of the arena, waiting for her next opponent and readying herself to throw a Chance Hit at her opponent.

The last battle had shaken Fuyuki's confidence majorly. He had lost in two turns! Granted, that Paragon was powerful... He cleared his mind of these thoughts as he stepped into the Arena. Thankfully, his next opponent wasn't as huge as his last, but still looked intimidating. He raised his sword and it glowed a bright light in a Ray attack. The kuhna man dashed forward at his opponent with the weapon outstretched and aimed at the Lucain's chest.

Sudden panic gripped Kapari and caused her to miss her mark, and by a good distance too - though luckily that had thrown her out of the way of the Kuhna's attack too. A... male?! Well, she knew it was going to happen, but she obviously hadn't been ready for it. Two fights with females were all fine and dandy, but the severely Androphobic Lucain had grown complacent thinking that, it might be a female only tournament.

Ugh. Okay. One step at a time. Hopefully I don't have to stay close to him for too long to make a hit. She would have spat in disgust, but she was a Lucain and she couldn't have turned human, as she had no natural weapons in that form. Kapari lowered her head and opted for an out of character charging attack. Hopefully she could inflict enough damage that way and the momentum of her attack would carry her back out to the outskirts of the arena.

Fuyuki growled in annoyance as his blade missed its target. He whirled around and stared at his opponent. At least her attack had missed as well. He fingered the hilt of his sword, considering what to do next. However, there wasn't much time to think, as the female Lucain was already charging for him again. His sword glowed once more as he charged another Ray attack, his hands pumping light energy through the blade. Fuyuki attempted to leap to the side as his opponent approached him, his sword outstretched, hoping the Lucain would hit the blade as she ran toward him.

Kapari shuddered from the blow of light that the Kuhna man had flung at her and sent her sprawling across the ground. Ugh. That completely failed, how on Evelon was she going to be able to get close enough to this Kuhna, without a. Her fear settling in, or b. actually withstanding one of his attacks long enough to deal him a counter-blow.
In her current state, she didn't know if she'd be able to withstand another blow anyway so she stood back and wracked her mind for the correct incantation the witch had taught her. Yes, she knew a tiny bit of magic herself, but it didn't mean that she liked to use it.

But nevertheless, Kapari banished her fear from her mind - if only for a second - to whisper a quick Healer's Chant for herself.

Fuyuki shouted in triumph, a gesture foreign to the normally soft-spoken Kuhna. His last attack had landed quite nicely, and he had still managed to avoid the Lucain's attack. He watched her next move. It looked like she was muttering something under her breath. "Hm?" he murmured to himself, furrowing his brow. With a flick of his tails he readied his sword again. His power was draining fast. While the Lucain was standing somewhat still, he shot toward her again in a normal attack, swinging his blade at her shoulder.

The Lucain yelped at the blade carved a line in her already scared pelt and skittered away from the Kuhna man. That healing hadn't done too much for her at all, so she abandoned that train of thought and directed her attention back to the Kuhna.

Fine... I play your game. I will not lose. Especially to a male. Kapari thought, taking a deep breath. I can do this...
Fear was a hard thing to throw aside, especially a severe kind of fear. But she felt like she had something to prove and indeed, yes she was intending to prove that she was above letting her fear get to her and she was ten times better than any primitive, violent male.

With an angry guttural snarl, Kapari leaped at the Kuhna man, fangs bared and ready to try and tear at the Kuhna's sword arm.

Adrenaline pumped through Fuyuki's veins. He was doing pretty well, especially after his last fight. His sword had made contact as he had hoped, and he turned to view the damage he'd done. The female Lucain had already hurled herself at him, fangs gritted and bared. He gasped at the rather frightening she-wolf and raised his sword defensively. He stuck it out in front of him, hoping to slice his opponent as she rushed toward him. It was just a normal attack, though; he didn't want to use all of his strength so early in the battle.

Kapari skittered away from the Kuhna, as soon as she felt her jaws close around his arm and some damage being dealt to the Kuhna. It seemed that he was only able to attack with the blade of the sword, or at least using it as a conduit for his strange magics, so it seemed logical that it was her main target.

Thankfully her speed and nerves had leant a hand in helping her dodge the attack, and for that she was grateful, but she knew she couldn't become complacent. While she still had stamina, she was worried about the strength of the Kuhna. His last blow had been powerful and she wasn't sure whether she'd be able to withstand another.

Kapari took another deep breath and stalked over to the Kuhna, eying him warily, before darting in again and attempting to bite his heels.

Pain shot up Fuyuki's arm as the Lucain's jaws clamped down on it. He held tightly to his sword, but found his arm getting weaker by the moment. He had to attack quickly. For a moment he considered switching hands; he was left-handed-- the one the Lucain had hit-- by default, but he figured he could land a blow, though possibly a weak one, with his right hand.

Deciding to take the chance, he threw his blade in the air and caught it with his right hand. Fuyuki staggered a bit as the pain in his left arm reminded him of how powerful the Lucain's last attack was, and already she was coming toward him again. He needed a powerful attack, and fast. He gingerly placed his injured hand on the hilt of his sword, transferring a Ray attack into it, and charged blade-first toward the Lucain's chest.
