Pankajar entered the arena once more, although he had heard that his opponent was a lucain, which was much larger than he. The cake kuhna stood at one end of the arena, getting ready for his first attack. It was hard to believe he had made it to the semifinal round.

Her crouched, then began to run toward his opponent. He got faster as he went, finally lunging toward the lucain from the ground. He had his claws out and hoped he would hit the lucain.

The size difference was definitely a surprise. Ameer hadn't expected a creature so small to have made it to the semifinal round. But then again, he had learned ages ago that size didn't matter in a battle. Not in the slightest.

It was a shock that Ameer himself had even made it so far. He was still quite uncomfortable in this canine form, and yet apparently the fighting came naturally to him. He had won a battle and lost won; it was up to this battle to decide whether he placed in the top three or not, and whether he earned some sort of prize for his endurance. Well, he would definitely give it his best.

His thoughts were interuppted as his opponent lunged at him. Without the time to think up a proper defensive movement, Ameer decided that the best defense was a good offense. As the kuhna rushed at him, Ameer lunged as well.

It hadn't dawned on Pankajar that the lucain's blades would hurt if her ran into them. One of them cut his paw, which really hurt. He jumped back, but only after having dealt some damage to his opponent.

He backed up a little farther, then summoned upon the energy like he had in previous battles. This way he didn't risk getting hit by those darned spikes. As he concentrated the spheres of energy began to form in the sky. Then they rained downed on the arena. Pan hoped that his attack would hit his opponent.

Argh!

It seemed that while he had successfully hit his opponent, the small creature had dealt quite a bit of damage to Ameer as well. Retreating for a moment, Ameer shook his head to clear his foggy thoughts. Fighting through the pain, he tried to think of another maneuver that would hopefully hit the kuhna, but avoid getting hit himself.

Noticing the spheres of energy raining down upon him, Ameer lost his train of thought. Forgetting whatever plan that had been brewing in his head, he simply leapt towards his opponent in a normal attack.

He missed? Gah, he didn't want to charge the lucain again, because of his spikes. He had one elemental attack left in him, but should he use it? He thought were cut off when the other smashed into him, claws scratching his side. Pankajar backed away from the lucain, overwhelmed by his sheer size.

He decided on using the elemental attack one more time, but then he'd be down to normal attacks. He shook his head, calling upon the energy again. Once more the spheres of energy rained down from the sky, all aimed for the lucain.

Apparently, his strategy, or lack of one, had worked. Whatever spell or attack the kuhna had used had missed him, and Ameer had managed to make a hit. However, the kuhna seemed to regroup and shot yet another attack of energy towards him.

This time, Ameer decided to attempt to lunge towards his opponent. If he attacked the kuhna head-on, the spheres of energy would miss, right? Surely the kuhna wouldn't allow the spheres to go towards himself as well...would he?

Another miss. Pankajar wasn't very happy about that at all. He retreated from the lucain, after having successfully avoided the canine's attacks. But now he was only down to the physical attacks. If the previous attacks had worked he wouldn't have had to come down to it, but he was stuck.

So he went forward at the lucain again, claws bared. He hoped to sink his claws into the other, or scratch him or something. He would have to deal with the physical pain from the spikes, if he managed to land the attack.

Luckily, the spheres had missed Ameer again. Sadly, though, his own attack had been off course as well. He had been too worried about dodging the spheres, and hadn't focused enough on aiming his attack. He still had enough energy for a few more lunges though.

As the kuhna came towards him, Ameer attended to slide out of the way, and then lunge towards the smaller creature. With claws and teeth ready, he was hoping to do at least some damage.

Pankajar had missed his target, but his opponent had also missed him. He leaped away from the lucain agilely, then swung around to position his feet firmly on the ground. The little kuhna looked at the lucain fiercely, fire burning in his eyes. He was determined, and tired of missing.

He ran for the lucain once more, his claws ready. Pankajar leaped for the lucain once again. He may not be the fighting type, but he really wanted to go home with something. And if he could defeat this lucain, then it was possible to pull in third.

That's was the last straw. Ameer was growing tired of missing. He had fought hard, and gone through two grueling battles before this one in an attempt to place and bring something home from this tournament. He wasn't giving up now, not when he was so close.

As his opponent came at him, Ameer prepared to defend himself, lunging himself at the smaller opponent. If he did lose, he wanted to have lost because the opponent was better, not because Ameer himself did not give it his all.
