So, this was the grand battle arena, in which the tournaments took place. Navvi stepped in, looking around as he waited for his opponent to enter. He didn't have to wait long; he gave a quick, half bow as his opponent entered, wishing them the best of luck. And then, Navvi took out his flask of poison. Taking some of the liquid into his mouth, he spit poison towards the face of his opponent. If this worked, he would hopefully lower his opponent's defenses for at least long enough to get a few good hits in. After all, if he wore down his opponent quickly, then Navvi would be able to finish him off quickly as well.

{Using Spit Poison}

[Thunder]

Mira stepped into the arena, beaming as the audience cheered her entrance. Well, it was sure interesting to be back here again. Who would she fight this time? She quickly got the answer, though, as it seemed her opponent had already arrived. He was a Lucain, and he looked tough enough. Mira returned the bow and prepared to fight.

Her foe was taking out some sort of flask with a strange liquid inside. Mira frowned as the Lucain took the liquid into his mouth and spit it in her direction. Whatever it was, it couldn't be good. She unsheathed her claws and leaped at Navvi, hoping the liquid wouldn't hit her as she flew towards him, ready to puncture the Lucain in the side.

"Damn," Navvi muttered. Not only had his poison missed, but his opponent had been more sure with her aim. He felt the puncture wounds in his side and leapt back to avoid being hit again. Shaking off the pain, he contemplated attempting the poison again, but realized that there probably wouldn't be time. Besides, the more Navvi handled the poisonous substance, the higher the chance that it would become harmful to him instead of his opponent.

Judging the distance between him and his opponent, Navvi crept closer before lunging forwards, teeth bared and ready to bite down on his opponent's flesh.

[Thunder]

Mira yowled in success. Not only had she dodged the poison, but her own attack connected. But at the same time, she hit the Lucain's darned spikes, and she winced as they dug into her skin. She leaped away from Navvi, shaking off the hurt. Her opponent was now flying towards her with his teeth seemingly poised to chomp down on her. Mira jumped right at him, trying to get his face this time.

Aha! Navvi managed to close his sharp teeth down on the other's shoulder. His victory was short lived, however. As he tried to leap out of the way, his opponent struck him again, this time on Navvi's face. Blinded by the blood for a moment, he staggered back. His spines had hit the other creature, which had probably hurt them at least a bit. Still, Navvi himself had to recover and land another blow! Sending a brief prayer up to whoever might hear, Navvi lunged once again. It was, after all, the main move that he used.

Although Mira's claws got the Lucain in the face, her opponent managed to get her shoulder. Mira hissed as the strong bite sent pain through her shoulder. Those dastardly spikes weren't helping anything either. Mira rolled over and leaped back onto her feet. Her shoulder was bleeding, but she tried to block out the pain and ran forth again. Maybe if she aimed for Navvi's legs, he'd have a harder time running around.

Another hit! Of course, as with the last time, his opponent had hit him as well. His blow had landed somewhere near the cat-like creature's smoky-tail - not as effective a hit as possible, but as long as his opponent was bleeding, then his opponent was losing strength. And that was what really mattered, in the end. Still, his opponent had managed to get Navvi's legs, throwing him off-balance. Navvi went tumbling down, and when he got back up, he was somewhat woozy. Despite the sudden dizziness, he managed to get back onto his feet and lunged, once again, at his opponent. He didn't have that much energy left, but he would continue to fight for as long as he could. Until his energy was completely gone, he would fight.

Mira managed to get the Lucain in the legs, but she felt a hit near her tail. She let out a little yelp and sprung away. She was starting to get tired, but her opponent also seemed exhausted. The two seemed closely matched. But Mira was determined to win, and she leaped once more, now trying to get her claws down the Lucain's back.

Well, apparently his little stumble hadn't helped at all. Navvi's blundering attack was easily countered by his opponent, and he, instead, was hit. Her claws were in his back, and Navvi shook his head to clear it. He leapt and twisted around wildly to get her off of him. Then, he quickly went to roll onto his back. Hopefully, he would be able to squash her beneath his weight and then get away while she was recovering.

It seemed Mira's previous attack had done her good, as the Lucain failed to hit her. As she lunged for his back, however, the Lucain's wingblades gave her a small cut to her side, causing Mira to wince. Those spikes sure were annoying. Suddenly, her opponent shifted underneath her, and she found herself falling down. Mira hissed and tried to sink her claws into the Lucain to bring him down, too.
