Ares was glad he had managed yet another hit. Luck seemed to be on his side for now. The light attack had seemed to distract the hunter enough that he missed, which allowed Ares more time. He wasn't sure how much more beating he could take. He had the energy fro one more light attack. He gathered the light once more, sending it toward the hunter.

Luck was definitely favoring his opponent right now. Once again the light had gotten to him and he had missed. Still, he couldn't let his misses get to him. If he did that, he'd lose his focus and definitely lose the fight. Trying to ignore the fact that his opponent was yet again gathering up a light attack, the Leader ran for the Spectrakuhna, hoping he could get a good claw hit in this time.

The light attack wasn't enough to distract the hunter from missing his target one more time. Ares felt the others claws get him, causing him great pain. He stumbled backward from the blow and from the final use of his energy. He was out of light attacks, and he could feel he was nearly done with the battle anyway. He charged at the hunter, his claws ready. The spikes would hurt, but it was his only choice.

Finally, his luck had turned! He'd scored a square hit on the Spectrakuhna, and from the look of it, the little feline was almost out of energy. Granted, the Leader wasn't exactly in the best form of his life, either, but he was certain that this would be the last turn. "You have fought well, and I commend you for pushing your strength until the end," he stated after the light had once again faded from his eyes. "Let's end this now." So saying, he ran back at his opponent, stretching out his claws.
