Mira saw the Hunter lash at her. She twisted to try to avoid his strike, though the movement was somewhat awkward. But somehow she managed to evade the blow while scoring a hit on him. Those spikes weren't helping, though, and she felt them dig into her as she struck. Mira rolled away from her foe and jumped back to her feet once she was some distance away. Then, she ran for him again with her claws.

Well, that had totally backfired. His opponent had made it right past his attack and hit him. At least she'd stuck herself on his spikes as she did so – that was the only saving grace of that turn. Although the Leader's strength was slowly starting to drain away, he still had the energy to keep going. He just had to focus, and he could claim victory. Turning to face the Rexxel again, he waited for her once more, lashing out with his claws when she neared.

Mira's blow was rather weak this time, and she cut herself on one of those darned spikes again. She was knocked backwards by the Hunter's own claws, landing on the ground roughly. "Oof!" she gasped. It seemed that she was getting pretty tired already, which was bad since her foe looked like he still had a good ways to go. That crystalline body was a great defense. Mira got up and ran at the Hunter full-speed, trying for a sort of body slam or tackle.

At least that had gone a bit better than his previous attempts. His opponent had only lightly scratched him, and he'd knocked her back onto the ground. She seemed to be growing quite tired now, and the Leader didn't blame her. "You have fought well," he congratulated her, and he truly meant it. "But now is the time to draw this battle to a close." That said, he ran for the Rexxel, claws outstretched and hoping that he could finish this.

Mira's tackle landed and was much more effective than her claws. She somehow avoided the Hunter's strike while moving, though she still didn't avoid damage from his spikes. She hopped away and smiled at his compliment. "Thanks!" she responded. "You've been tough, but I'm not giving up quite yet!" Mira was tiring, but she would put forth all her effort until the end. She sprang at him for another body slam.

Haha, didn't he feel the fool for saying something like that and then missing! At least his opponent took it all in good stride, and he had to admire her response. Still, he really didn't want to have this battle drag on any longer than it needed to. He knew she was tiring fast; not ending this quickly would just leave her more exhausted at the end. As the Rexxel sprang at him, he again waited, claws ready, for the moment she'd reach him.
