Mira gave herself a good stretch before walking into the arena. It was time for yet another fight. She looked around for her opponent and when she caught sight of him, her eyes widened a bit. He was a Hunter, though not like any she had ever seen before. He had purple stripes all over his crystalline blue body...and she was sure those spikes would hurt if she touched them. There were so many spiky enemies in this tournament.

Once her opponent seemed to be ready, Mira cast a ball of ice at him. Maybe staying away from the spikes for now was a good idea.

(Using Frost.)

It was surprising how quickly one recovered after the fights in these arenas. The Leader was completely healed by now, and ready for his next fight. Upon entering the field, he noticed that his next opponent was a feline, like him. How nice to take a break from fighting Lucain! After bowing to the Rexxel, he charged forward, intending to swipe at her with his claws. Would this last as long as his previous fight? He sure hoped not; that victory had been too close for comfort.

[Thunder]

Mira's ice attack hit, but she was momentarily distracted by watching where her elemental attack landed and felt claws rake through her fur. "Agh!" she hissed, leaping backwards after she was struck. Come on, she scolded herself mentally, focus girl! Mira was a little too close for another elemental attack, so this time she ran forth with her claws out. She was unsure of how effective they'd be against the Hunter, but it was worth a shot.

(Using Puncture.)

Well, that was new! The Rexxel had launched a ball of ice at him that had smacked him in the side of the head. His coat of crystal helped a little, but the freezing cold and stiffness of the ice ensured that he still felt the damage. Shaking his head, the Leader noticed that his opponent was already dashing for him with her claws extended. Perhaps it wasn't the best idea for her, what with his spiky coat, but her actions were her choice. Rushing forward himself, the Leader lashed out at her with his claws again.

Mira felt her claws meet air before getting hit by the other feline. It was a solid blow, and Mira hissed as she felt the claws dig into her side. She sprang away, frowning at her opponent, not caring to look at the wound since she knew the medics would patch her up after the battle. Still, it stung like crazy. Mira quickly created another ice ball and sent it flying at the Hunter. Hopefully she'd hit this time.

Well, he'd managed to dodge the other feline's claws. Perhaps that was better for her, as she missed taking more damage from his pointy hide that way. The Leader could tell that he'd landed a decent hit that time, and if the Rexxel wanted to win, she'd need to avoid anything that could hurt her further. It seemed that she realized this, as another ball of ice began to form in the air in front of her and started to fly towards him. Rushing forward again, the Leader attempted to dodge it while going for another claw strike. Dodging and hitting was always a careful balancing act...

Mira got yet another hit with her ice attack, but again the Hunter managed to strike her as well. She staggered backwards slightly from the blow, but she still had the energy to fight. However, she didn't think she could manage many more elemental attacks. Maybe she could only handle one more. Taking a deep breath, she leaped backwards again to make room for yet another ice ball, which she sent flying at the Hunter.

(Using Frost.)

Oof, he'd failed that one and gotten smacked with another of those freezing ice balls. At least he'd hit his opponent as well, though, so the turn hadn't been a complete waste for him. Again the Leader shook his head, trying to clear his mind from the stinging. How many times would she use that attack? At least once more, from the way another ball was suddenly heading his way. Quickly he ran for the Rexxel, striking out with his claws.

Drat, she missed again! Mira was about to dodge the Hunter's attack, but she moved too late and felt crystalline claws smack her in the face, leaving scratch marks down her cheek. "Oww," she hissed, staggering backwards. Come on girl, she thought to herself. Get a move on! She shook off the pain and leaped at the Hunter, hissing. She didn't think she could afford more ice attacks, so she'd have to deal with his spikes now.

(Normal attack)

Phew, he'd gotten out of the way of the ice ball just in time. His opponent wasn't so lucky, though, getting his claws across her face. She appeared to be peeved about that (and rightfully so), hissing and leaping for the Leader. Apparently she'd used up all her energy for those ice balls... good. With any luck, that would mean that this battle was starting to draw to a close. Turning to face her, the Leader let her approach him this time, intending to use his claws on her when she got too close.
