Everything was starting to wind down in this tournament. There were only two battles left for him, and then he'd be done. Stepping out into the arena first (the second time he'd been able to), the Leader waited for his opponent to arrive. Now, according to the match-ups, his opponent this time was a Diosol, and sure enough, he saw one approach. Presumably, this would be a short fight – really, a rabbit versus a lion? Giving a nod, the Leader rushed forward, claws outstretched.

She was going to lose this match without even trying.

Tennessee watched her opponent with trepidation as he launched himself towards her. Deciding it was best to try to start as big as she was capable (she wasn’t capable of much in this form, after all, and once more longed for her hands and her rifles). She gathered her energy, and sent a blast of water towards the crystal feline.

Interesting; it seemed that his opponent was another sort of elemental. At least it was just water this time instead of hard ice or irritating light, but it still managed to hurt. In addition, he'd gotten a great hit on her, so he wasn't feeling too concerned. He'd be sure not to get too confident, though – that was what lost battles. Taking a breath, the Leader charged forward to strike at the Diosol with his claws again. Let's see if he couldn't repeat his previous success!

Well, it was worth a shot. The water attack was doing more damage than her claws could. Especially if she was up against a crystal cat. She’d barely be able to do much of anything with her claws and teeth. Frowning, she watched as the cat shook of her attack and came at her again with those wicked looking claws. Oh Well. Guess she’d have to try again. She gathered her energy, and sent another balst of water towards the Hunter.

It seemed that he couldn't repeat his previous success after all. Right before he could hit the Diosol again, a blast of water hit him in the face, stopping his attack in its tracks. Stepping back a few paces, the Leader shook his head, spraying water droplets everywhere. He'd have to square up, or this rabbit might actually end up getting the better of him! With that in mind, the Leader charged at her once more, claws at the ready.

Phew. Tennessee breathed a sigh of relief. That cat’s claws were worse than it’s bite. Or…about the same. She didn’t want to find out if his bite was as bad as his claws. Giving a little squeak when she saw he was readying to charge again, Tennessee gathered her energy. The water swirled around her, and suddenly shot towards Leader once more. She just hoped it would hit.

There, that was better! He'd managed to hit the Diosol right before the water got him again. However, that attack did force him to step back for a moment so he could snort some water out of his nose. The Leader might've had a body of crystal, but he still needed to breathe like any other living creature. With that done, he dashed forward again, opting this time to headbutt his opponent. Sure, his claws had served him well all this time, but the method was getting old, even for him.

His attacks were strong. Tennessee could already feel her strength waning. She should’ve known; she’d seen Hunters before near the Menagerie, but she’d never thought to take the time to analyze how strong they were. She just brushed them off as ‘cats made of weird rocks.’ That was a bad idea. With a frown Tennessee gathered energy for one last water attack, sending the blast straight towards the crystalline feline.

Maybe he'd been celebrating too soon? He'd ended up missing again, while his opponent had given him another face-full of water. Standing alone, the water hadn't really bothered him much, but it was beginning to add up. The Leader was starting to feel the effects of fatigue, but at least he was sure that his opponent was, as well. She shouldn't have any more energy for those water attacks, at this point. Running forward at the Diosol, he decided to try a bite this time.

She had no more energy for any of her elemental attacks. And this Hunter didn’t seem to be slowing down much. She was barely making a dent in his energy. He was just too strong, not to mention made of crystals. If she could just get a couple of good hits in, maybe she’d have a chance. She bared her claws, ready to give it her best shot.
