They had really made it to the final round! Khorshed, as a knight who had participated in training tournaments during his learning days, found it really amazing to have come so far in his first official tournament. His true happiness, though, came from the fact that his brother was by his side and how well Egbert had fought and taken in the whole experience despite his brain damage so far.

Their opponents this time, though, looked far more dangerous than the previous ones. This wouldn't be as easy as it had been before, which caused Khorshed to worry again right away. But maybe they could surprise their opponents this time; after all, Egbert had a bit of experience now and if they managed to take one of them out, things would hopefull get easier again.

"These two are powerful, Egbert. We will focus on the Werebetta first. I do not understand how a fish can swim through the air, but it still can't possibly be his natural habitat, so hopefully, he will be the easier opponent", Khorshed quietly told his brother. Egbert grunted in response, obviously agreeing - and then charged at the Werebetta right away without waiting. "Brother, wait!" Khorshed hurried after him. Egbert was, after all, now partly an animal again. He really needed to phrase his words better next time.

(Both Egbert and Khorshed attack Oscar with regular attacks)

It was a bit strange, but Chariot was quite glad to see that Oscar was all better. The combat medics had done a good job on him. It had been a little frightening, seeing that fish beaten beyond the limits of what should be possible, and yet still fighting. But now here they were; the last round. Having survived this round, they were guaranteed something, at least. But they were not guaranteed victory.

"Go! Attack!" Chariot put up a hoof and indicated. They were starting things off without much fanfare. This looked like a straightforward scrap.

Both Oscar and Chariot attack Egbert.

"That was amazing, Egbert!" They had both hit the Werebetta and their opponent had indeed gone down, leaving them to only deal with one more foe for now - and one who had missed Egbert with his attack, too! This was going really well again. Khorshed wondered when and if luck would leave them in the end or not. "Let's finish this quickly!"

Egbert grunted in agreement and charged at the bigger creature again without any trace of fear, trying to deal as much damage as he possibly could.

"Oscar!" Chariot knelt near his fallen friend. But there was no time for that. The combat medics would get him. For now, Chariot had to focus on what he could do. He decided he would attack Egbert since that seemed like it might work. With a stamp, he put his horn down and charged.

(I'm a bit confused, Dai, since in the double-battles we had in the test area, the bonuses from stuff like Team Defense faded if the pet with the Trait got knocked out. Did that get changed? o3o Just curious. Or did Khorshed do no bonus damage and the (8+3) is actually the normal number in addition to the three extra damage from Team Defense being cancelled now?)

Egbert managed to avoid the attack of his opponent, but at the same time, this caused him to miss as well. Khorshed was glad, though, that his brother hadn't been hit. All of their opponents from the tournament seemed to like to target Egbert, probably because they thought of him as the weaker one because he didn't talk and seemed more like an animal. While that was their loss, it was also dangerous for Egbert, since Khorshed didn't want him in a similiar situation like when he had almost died and their parents got murdered again. He surely hadn't counted on everyone attacking Egbert when he had signed them up for this tournament. Well, one more reason to end this quickly.

"Egbert, try again! You did well to avoid damage instead of focusing on attacking alone!" Khorshed said. Maybe Egbert instinctively did so, now, not wanting to get harmed again like back then? "Let us attack again!" He waited until Egbert grunted in agreement and then attacked again together with his brother.

(Both Egbert and Khorshed use regular attacks on Chariot)

Chariot realed from one hit and then another. But no injury could dampen his resolve. Being a spirit help. Physical injury could only stop him for so long. With a steamy snort,.he rushed out to attack Egbert. His horn seemed to quiver in anticipation.

((Um. Actually. I forgot all about that. Ugh, I always forget something with battles... Anyway, I didn't go back and fix things here, since I forgot about it in Round 5 as well and I think it would mess things up too much to go back and re-roll everything [and I think it wouldn't be fair to fix one battle and not the other].))
