Morwena couldn't believe her eyes. Another opponent with wings? Ugh! That was so bothersome! She had trouble to hit these guys, really. Well, maybe she could at get a surprise attack in this way? "Deeeeary! Surprise!" she shouted (well, screeched, given her horrible voice) at her opponent - more or less ruining the surprise effect, actually - and switched into her human form to chant a spell. Why was she even bothering with her Fellox form? There was no way she could beat flying things when she had no methods to cast spells and for spellcasting, she needed hands. Deciding to do something non-elemental first, Morwena simply reached into the ether and tried to blast the Garudor with magic while keeping her distance from the creature.

[Thunder]

Adey entered the arena, scythe in hand, and found herself face to face with...a human? No, she could have sworn that she saw a Fellox just a moment ago. Was her mind playing tricks on her, or had her foe simply transformed? At any rate, the woman's voice was horrible sounding and made her ears figuratively bleed. It reminded her of some of the female teachers she had at high school back in her first life.

She saw the magic spell hurtle towards her. Adey gulped and flew to the side, trying to dodge it, while lunging at the woman with her scythe. She had no long range attacks, so this fight could be tricky if she had to duck all these spells all the time.

Okay, that had went well! Morwena had managed to dodge the attack from the Garudor by using her own wind magic to quickly fly out of the way. However, not willing to give her opponent the chance to recover, she immediately started another attack, trying to inflict even more damage this time. She had to be careful, though. Morwena had no idea why an overgrown bird had a scythe, but seeing as she was only wearing her short dress (which didn't really consist of much fabric in the first place), she had no intention to get hit by that. She really didn't need any scars! She needed to be beautiful for her Dear! Keeping her wind magic ready to try to dodge again if necessary, Morwena blasted magical energy towards the Garudor again.

Adey hissed when the magic struck her square in the shoulder. She teetered dangerously in the air but managed to recover her balance. That had been a powerful attack, and she honestly wasn't sure if she'd win this. She looked around for the woman, who had zipped away somewhere while she was off balance, and relocated her. Unfortunately, yet another magic blast was coming at Adey, and this one looked even stronger than the last. For a moment she regretted that she wasn't an angel- otherwise she might have learned some magic too.

Adey attempted to dodge the blow while rapidly flapping her wings to create a gust of wind. She hoped that the wind she generated would somehow make the woman's own windy magic movements less effective...

Ugh! The big bird sure could make a lot of wind! Luckily, Morwena's dress was pretty tight or otherwise, all the spectators would have seen something she only wanted her Dear to see, given how short her clothes were. She also had quite a few troubles - in the air, she had to fight against the wind...and well, on the ground, she had to fight against the wind, too, on her high heels. So either it was getting blown around or falling on her butt. Deciding that the first option was probably less embarrassing, Morwena used her magic to keep her floating slightly over the ground while she also tried to aim at the annoying Garudor again. There was quite a bit of a chance that her magic would be affected by the wind and so, she didn't put too much power into it.

Success! Adey was delighted when her tactic disrupted the woman's offense. She realized it was probably quite embarrassing for her opponent, given what the woman was wearing and the number of spectators watching the battle, but she figured that the lady made a choice for her wardrobe and would simply have to deal with it. She saw that Morwena was starting to hover a little now, perhaps to make any future wing flaps less effective, so Adey decided to switch gears and attack again. She swooped down and lashed out with her scythe. Hopefully she could get a fair hit and avoid the next magic blast as well.

Well, how about that? Despite the wind, she had hit and her opponent hadn't. Also, her hit had stopped that terrible wind, giving her a better hold of her surroundings again. Maybe she actually could finish this battle now? Focusing again now that she wasn't so distracted anymore, Morwena ripped her magic from the ether and blasted it towards the Garudor again. Yeah, she had done this once already and it had missed back then, but maybe it would work this time? Birds were supposed to be dumb creatures, after all. Maybe this one had already forgotten about the earlier attack.

Unfortunately, that wing flapping strategy didn't turn out as great as Adey expected. The woman had managed to regain control of her motions and hit Adey square in the chest with her magic. "Oof!" The wind got knocked out of her, and she dropped dangerously close to the ground before feebly flapping her wings to regain some altitude. Adey glared at her opponent and watched the woman unleash another massive magic burst. It was entirely possible that this could be the last blow of the fight. Taking a deep breath, Adey zoomed towards the woman with her scythe raised, praying that her attack attempt would at least get an A for effort.
