I let out a sigh and crossed my arms as I moved forward. I knew that wouldn't have worked. I really did want him to come, I just felt bad about making him leave. "I don't want you to leave. And I never said you couldn't come. But I just don't want you to have to leave your home. If you're really serious about coming, then let's just get going and forget about the whole conversation."
I didn't look at him as he caught up with me, but instead studied my feet as I walked. I wasn't exactly sure what to think, but I did know one thing. I had to go, soon. Mom would be home any moment and figure out that I was gone. I had left a note - though I'm not too sure why I had done it. I hadn't told her about the credit card though. But it would still be enough of a thing to have her look for me or something along those lines.
So we had to leave now.
