The world had seen her actions. They had spoke of what they wanted. She heard them say her name. Cheer for her heroism. And, now, they were offering the world to her. The world, as her own. They stood with a crown, ready to anoint her, ready to give her the world. They wanted it. They cheered as she walked. Cheered for her. Cried her name out. It all sounded like a murmur. The world was a daze. This couldn't be real. There she was, ahead of the ones to give her the crown, to give her the power, the control. The world would be hers. The crown was held out to her, smiles on their faces. Cheers rose louder from behind her. But, she made no move to take the crown. To accept the gift they were offering. This was not for her. This was not what she wanted.
Chishio glanced up to those offering her this incredible gift, her features set with seriousness, and she shook her head once, lightly and backed away. The crowd's cheers died quickly, even quicker as Chishio turned away from the gift and walked away. The people protested. This was not what they wanted. They wanted a hero. They wanted her. Chishio walked without a change, leaving behind the gift, but as the protests grew louder, she pulled her hand out of her pocket, and waved it back behind her once, saying, "No thanks."

H I S TO R Y
Shizen's life began in a laboratory. As part of a genetic test, Shizen was created using egg and seed from volunteers at the laboratory, and his genes were cut apart and reassembled with certain genetics from a prehistoric creature; a Solorex. When they were through splicing genes, the egg was placed in a surrogate mother, and he was carried to term. Shizen was born, and immediately given a number as a name - though, when he was old enough, Shizen gave himself the name Shizen Saigai, and tried to enforce that it was his name -, and was given no loving or caring hands to care for him. He was given nutrition through tubes and needles so that he would stay alive, and his genes were tested and toyed with nearly constantly. Early on, the scientist discovered that though Shizen (called Number AW-001 by the scientists [meaning, "Assault Weapon 001"]) looked human, he had the Solorex genes thoroughly throughout him. Their goal was to create a living weapon for use by the military, and Shizen had been chosen to be the test subject. The idea behind this was to create the perfect soldier: one who took orders without retaliation, and one who would fight to the death. Of course, they wanted a soldier with great resilience against death, so they had to test Shizen of that.
At a young age, Shizen was put through rigorous tests to see his abilities, both as a human and a Solorex. They would provoke him to use his Solorex form, and at times when he would refuse, they would shock him with powerful volts of electricity to force him to bring out his Solorex form. They purposely treated him harshly, but became harsher if he refused so that they would shape his personality to be a hardened, stone-cold one. They wanted no mercy, no kindness, no peace, and they pushed and pushed Shizen further away from the possibility of having these emotions. When he was younger, Shizen would try to fight back, no matter what, but they always got him to do what they wanted. He never had a choice, and as he grew up with this, he began to slowly be turned into a killing machine, and became quite different than the person he actually was.
By his early adult years, Shizen had been trained fully in how to be a soldier. Everyday he was drilled, and he would have to use his two forms to get through the drills. While they started out extremely challenging at first, Shizen was able to get through them all without a single fault by this time. Even when they would switch things up, Shizen could adapt quickly and finish the job just as if there hadn't been a change. Shizen became a mindless, hardened drone, performing tasks as he was told to, and without any retaliation. He had become the perfect soldier, and all he kept hearing was was that AW-001 had been an incredible success. Shizen, however, was deeply troubled. Though the time he'd spent here had forced him to all but give-up his self and any hope of being free, there was a small grain of it still left, and every night, he would sink into those feelings. All day, he would feel nothing, but when darkness came, his feelings returned. Shizen was not happy here, but it was all he knew, and so he did not try to escape. His thoughts had gone from, "This isn't where I belong," to "This is the only thing I know," and Shizen had given up the hopeless thoughts of escape.
But, the scientists and military officials weren't threw with him yet. Shizen found himself back at his training quarters once more, and he was ordered to run the course. Thinking that it was the same as always, Shizen immediately took off into the course, dodging traps, and maneuvering with unequaled grace and stealth, shifting to his preferred Solorex form. But, as he came to the first stuffed dummy that he was to take out, opening his maw with an instinct, he realized that it was not a dummy - it was a man with a gun! Out of fear, the man fired his weapon at Shizen, who dodged away from the firing, disappearing behind a pile of sandbags, in his human form. Shizen was ordered to run the course again, but he stayed put. It was only when several men with weapons came after him that Shizen turned on them, and killed them all - out of protection. He ran through the course, with the idea that once he got to the end, it would all be over, but by the time he reached the end, Shizen had killed well over thirty people. He did not know who the people were, or why they had been put in there, but he had killed them all. Though he was met at the end with congratulations and applauds by impressed military officials - who were actually applauding the scientists-, and scientists who were proud of themselves for their accomplishment, Shizen was in a daze. He could taste blood in his mouth. There was blood on his face and body. He had a few close calls with bullets, which had grazed his body here and there. That moment became the last straw. They had forced him to kill - forced him to murder people. It was then that Shizen turned on everyone around him, and he killed them all - all the high-ranking military officials, and the scientists at the head of this operation. And, when he'd done so, he tried to flee. Shizen found that his body was nearly instopable, but in his bull-dozing to get out, he triggered one of the scientists' experiments - an experimental time machine - and became electrified by the power of the machine. The machine stunned him for a moment, but his need to get out drove him onward, and Shizen escaped. But, what he didn't realize until later was that the accident with the time machine had given him a unique ability that would help with his survival... Time travel.
P E R S O N A L I T Y
During his lifetime, Shizen's personality changed and shifted greatly. Though he began life as a rebellious young child, knowing that he did not want to be a part of what they were training him for. Shizen fought with all he had, but because of his small size, they always found ways to force him to do what he didn't want to. As time wore on, Shizen became less and less rebellious, and more and more broken. Soon, he came to accept that this was just the way it was, and he could do nothing about it. Shizen became a hardened soldier against his own will. Even though he grew larger and more able to handle himself, the scientists and trainers who had worked with him had forced him to believe he could not do anything about it, and his rebellious personality grew dormant.
As time has told, Shizen's rebellious personality is rooted deeply within him. It was the one core root that could not be snapped. Shizen is rebellious, against anyone who dares try to take away what's important to him. He doesn't ever use his rebellion for petty things. Instead, it's his way of creating his own path in life, instead of being forced to follow one. Shizen cannot do not that. Aside from his rebellion, however, Shizen struggles to find who he really is. Because of all that he went through, he doesn't even know how to act with others. Everyone has become his enemy, but he does not want to harm another soul. Despite this, Shizen has a lot of common sense, and is very wise for his young age, due to all that he went through.

((This is an excerpt from an idea I have Shizen, and how he crosses paths with Chishio, thus leading him to become entangled with her and her war. This only covers their interaction, though))
Two knights charged for one another on horse-back, lowering their lances as they approached each other. The knight on the left was struck low, knocking him off of his horse and onto the dirt below. A cheer rose through the spectators as the victor raised his broken lance to show his victory, lifting his helmet to reveal his beaming face.Shizen leaned against a tree, overlooking the arena below him. With his calm, cool, collected look, he watched as Chishio looked on with a child-like quality at the joust. Her eyes seemed to shine at the sport. Shizen had to hold back a smile. He had to admit, it had been unexpected that she had gotten caught in his time travel web; dragged back in time with him by accident, but he was glad for her company. It was such a nice change. Shizen frowned slightly. But, what if she wanted to go back? He held back a sigh. Shizen hadn't yet told her exactly how they came to be here. It had just happened, was all he would say. Chishio didn't seem to question it too much. After all, Shizen and her had been having quite some fun.
"I wanna do that." Shizen lifted his brow, smirking at her comment and the excitement in her voice. "You do, huh?" The young man walked over to Chishio, looking over her shoulder, far down below in the valley at the tournament still going on. He could hear the horses hooves as two more knights charged for one another, and the loud shattering of the two lances, and the heavy thud! as one knight hit the dirt. "Well, I hate to break it to you, but only certain people can get into that. You gotta be knighted, or somethin' like that." Chishio grunted, undetoured. "I tricked a bunch of people before to believe I was someone I wasn't... I can do it again." She stood up, still looking down on the arena below. Shizen appeared interested in what she was saying. "Heh, I thought that was for survival needs only?" He replied with a slightly mocking tone. Chishio's eyes narrowed, but she did not look away from the arena. Instead, a crafty half-smile crossed her face. "We need money, right?" Shizen tilted his head as Chishio turned to face him. "And, our survival is dependent on that, isn't it? Besides, with all that traveling a knight does, we can probably find someone to send us back. Right?" Shizen stood, slightly baffled by what Chishio was saying. He awkwardly put his hand up behind his head to scratch it. Chishio walked by him as Shizen tried to think of a response. "Well, uh..." "Right. So it's settled then." Shizen's jaw dropped as Chishio continued walking on. "What the-?! Hey! Who made you leader? You don't even know how you got here?!" Shizen exclaimed as he ran off after her, trying to hide the excitement he felt to be having a real, true argument with a friend... A real friend.

She stood on the ledge of the cliff, her back still kept to it, the rain still pouring. Not a sound came from far below, except for the sound of rain. It seemed the nightmare was finally over. She was free. She'd fought for her life, and won... But, her victory was short, and she knew it. She did not have to glance down to know what Tandokuno had done... She felt the blood streaming down her chest and belly, dripping to the ground below. The blood trailed from the sword thrust into her chest, delivered by her only enemy in his final moments. Chest heaving, body broken and bleeding, she kept herself standing, unwilling to let herself fall, despite that her body wanted her to do so badly. She wasn't about to give up yet.
Masurao stood stunned at the sight that had just happened. Chishio had managed to push Tandokuno off the ledge, and there was no doubt that he had not survived. He didn't know what to feel first: joy that it was finally over, or sorrow over all that they had lost already. His eyes fell on Chishio, standing so broken, yet at the same time with such an aura of victory. Masurao couldn't help but smile, and he started in a run to go celebrate with Chishio. But, as he neared, lightning struck, illuminating the land, and something shiny against Chishio's chest... Masurao's his legs slowed. The whole word seemed to slow. His eyes met with Chishio's, and to his horror, he saw the he watched that bright, burning glow start to fade. "Chishio!" As his voice was drowned out by thunder, Chishio's Battleheart body began to slowly collapse, and then fell to the earth with a heavy thud! Realizing that Chishio was in serious trouble, Masurao ran to her, coming to his knees at her head, and throwing his arms around her neck, trying to urge her to get up. "Chishio! Come on, Chi, get up! Get up, Chi!" He watched helplessly as her once vibrant, glowing eyes faded into darkness, returning to a lifeless grey. "Chishio!" As she breathed her last shallow breath, her life faded away. With it, her body returned to it's human form, Masurao still holding her. Tears streamed down his face as he pulled her close to his chest, burying his head into her hair. "Chishio..."

You know I've never been any good with words. I'm horrible at them, except when I'm angry or acting like a kid-at-heart, like I am... The words just fly then, without need to think or go any deeper than the feelings of happiness or anger. They come easy to me. Real easy, heh. But, to venture further down into the depths of my heart is the hardest thing for me to do. To open up to someone else, as I am doing now, fills me with fear, more than anything else. I could face death and still not be this afraid... Physical pain is something I could handle, but to open up to someone and risk a deep hurt is a risk I truly am afraid of, because those wounds won't heal as quickly. It's long, slow, and painful. But, it is now, that I have decided to risk it all, because I can no longer deal with the pain of being apart from someone I love. No matter the price, I must say how I feel, for I cannot carry this on any longer. Words cannot express my feelings for you accurately, but the closest that will come are three small, but powerful words that I hope you'll at least take to heart.

"C'mon, Daishou!"
Souretsu bounded ahead of his Kuchi Nagi friend excitedly, beaming with a broad smile. Daishou had to run to keep up with the young Taigra. "Souretsu, what is all this about?" The Kuchi Nagi protested, trying to get the Taigra to tell him what exactly was going on. Daishou had been enjoying a nice nap when the young Taigra came bounding to him, waking him up and dragging him to who knew where. Souretsu hadn't said anything to him except to follow him. "Just c'mon! Hurry!" Souretsu said excitedly, bounding onward through the trees surrounding their home. Daishou sighed, but kept running, unable to resist laughing at Souretsu's excitement. He honestly couldn't think of what Souretsu could be so excited about.
It wasn't his birthday... was it? Daishou couldn't remember when his own birthday was, so then why would Souretsu be so excited? It wasn't the Taigra's birthday.... Or, was it? Disahou truly didn't know, and it was driving his mind crazy! With a playful growl, Daishou ran quicker to catch up to Souretsu, who continued to bound deeper into the forest. "Souretsu! Tell me what's going on! Please! It's driving me crazy!" Souretsu laughed, tail whipping as he bounded onward and called back through deep breaths, "It's a BIG surprise for you!! But, I ain't tellin ya no more! Come ON!!" With joyous laughter, Sourestu dashed away out of sight of Daishou. Daishou panicked for a moment. "Souretsu? Souretsu!" Daishou dashed through the jungle, suddenly afraid. Souretsu wasn't the type to just disappear - not without being heard. But, Daishou could hear nothing. Not even his friend's warm laughter. Daishou prepared to grip his knife and leaped out into an opening, eyes searching frantically for his friend. "Souretsu? Souretsu! Are you the-"
Suddenly, the Tiagra leaped from somewhere above and landed straight into Daishou's arms., startling him with the surprise. Daishou sighed in relief, unable to hide a smile. "Souretsu... You had me worried, boy." Souretsu lowered his eyes, playing slightly with his back paws in a twidling kind of way to avoid looking at a disappointed parent. "Well... I'm sorry... I just wanted you to have the best surprise..." Daishou raised a brow of interest. "Souretsu... what do you mean? What's this surprise you keep telling me about? It must be something of great importance." The Taigra looked up to the Kuni Nagi, a soft, innocent, child-like smile on his face. The Taigra placed a paw on the armor of the beast, and said gently, trying to contain his excitement as best he could, "The best surprise... is me, hehe..." Daishou's eyes widened as the whisper crossed over his ear hole. He looked down at the creature and let out a hearty laugh. "That you are, my boy! That you most certainly are! Something special to me." Souretsu grinned, mewing happiness as he rubbed his head lovingly against his companion.

The Accessories
I used charcoal for a 5 o'clock shadow... But, it's difficult to see o.o It's there though! D: I made the tooth necklace out of a leather strap, beads, and a type of clay that you bake to harden. I found two similar belts to hold the holsters for the guns which I bought with a kiddie gun set. With that set, I repainted the guns with black spray paint (because they were both an ugly orange), and then painted by hand the white and silver parts of the gun.
As for clothing, I used an old pair of hand-me-down shotgun chaps, turned backwards because they were camo on one side. I also used a pair of spurs that were hand-me-downs. My hat, coat, vest, boots, belts, jeans, and shirt were all already mine. I had to turn my shirt inside-out though because the closest one I had was a camo one, and it was tan on the inside, so it matched up pretty well with Jake's.
And, for my hair, I pulled it back and tied it with a camo bandanna so I could seem more boy-like and so my hair weren't all over the place. And... I think that's all~
