Yep--another year has come and gone, which means that, inevitably, all of us get older (even though some will avidly try and deny the fact). Good thing that I'm not in the "avidly trying to deny the fact" group this year, because this year...
...well, I be leavin' the teenage years behind!
Yes, indeed; I have crossed the threshold from the teenage years and have now entered my twenties. Can I believe that I've been around for this long? Not really. But that changes nothing, I've realized. Even though there were years where I wished this day would pass me by because I felt like people wouldn't even care, I'm always proved wrong (like this morning... I woke up to six emails in my inbox; one from my parents and the other five from friends/family on Facebook wishing me a happy birthday... and ALL of them sent before I was even awake this morning).
So... yeah. I'm now no longer a teenager~ and that alone gives me more reason to celebrate than next year's twenty-one (since I'm one of the few who is adamantly sticking to her guns when she says, "You could sweet talk me all ya want, you're not getting me anywhere near a bar or any alcohol when I turn twenty-one," because you won't).
