It seemed like any other day in Aldrect, especially for Vester. For him, he had just got cleaning himself after taking someone's life in one of the back alleys the night before. He was an expert at hiding what he did, and even when there was an investigation they could never pin him as a suspect. Sometimes they couldn't even identify the victim after Vester was done with them.
This time he remembered to cut off the tips of the fingers and toes post modem, and made sure the head wasn't found. Even if it was there still couldn't be a way to find out who it was, you can very well identify a head without a face, and seeing as how the teeth were removed no dental records could be matched.
Vester sat at one of the tables outside a cafe', running his hand through his messy short black hair. He was still tired from the activities the night before, and forgot to even order what he wanted. Vester was sure the waitress didn't even know he was out there, but he didn't care. He slumped over on the table folding his arms on the surface and resting his head on his makeshift headrest.
He had thought about digging the cigarettes out of his pocket but decided against it. He lifted his head up enough to watch the rest of the city-folk pass by him, unaware of the murder that took place just hours earlier.
