"Survive the Night and Win Big!" the poster proclaims and gives scant details as to what it is you have to survive or exactly how long. It only gives the location and time, telling you to bring only yourself and a flashlight. Seems harmless enough around this holiday. Plenty of haunted houses run this gimmick so surely this one should be no different. After all it's just for fun right? Though the locations seems a bit...off. Lya Pointa Cathedral has all sorts of rumors surrounding it, from dark magick practiced there to people disappearing. Are you sure going is a good idea?

This rp is a contest in which each player character tries to survive the longest before being killed by a monster. Seems simple enough, right? The catch is everything is randomized, from the appearance of monsters to the monster's strength and health.
You start out with only a flashlight which can be used to try to stun the monsters with bright light, but you can, by chance, find makeshift weapons around the cathedral and the cemetery out back.
It is recommended that your characters work together to try to survive, but is not required. You can attack and steal from other players if you so wish but players can only deal a small set amount of damage with each encounter with each other, so don't expect it to be easy to kill each other now.
Like a DnD session you start out with so much health and a usable trait called "luck". Luck starts out with a set amount and can be used to help you survive encounters with monsters. The catch is luck does not regenerate...at all. So once it's gone, it's gone for good. Luck is used to escape monsters, survive encounters with aggressive other player characters, and to survive traps.
So I just mentioned traps. What are traps? Traps are obstacles within the cathedral and the cemetery that can injure your character and give them a hindering status, such as broken leg, broken arm, or head injury. Ouch! These statuses make it hard for your character to escape monsters and to fight them off. If you use one luck point though you can safely survive a trap unharmed. Pretty great, right?
One last thing to explain there is a rare item that can be found at random places in the cathedral and cemetery and that is first aid kits. First aid kits can heal injuries and a set amount of health. But first aid kits are rare and only have a one time use. So once you use a first aid kit that kit becomes unusable for anyone else. You can choose to heal other characters with a kit you found. Sharing is caring in this case.
