It is indeed 1/8.

His Explaination:

The biggest triangle is one half of the square. The other triangles are formed by half-ing the triangles until I come to the last triangle. From this I know the triangle is 1/8 unit big. Then, using 1/2*base*height, I find the height of the triangle, the black line, is 1/8.

Though there is an easier one.
The side of the square is 1 unit.
So C to the line BE would be 1 unit.
And D to BE would be half of that, so it'll be 1/2 unit.
F to BE = 1/4 unit.
And finally G to H is 1/8.
