So, there was this guy. He wasn't too bright, but he wasn't exactlly dumb.
He went hiking, and he found this lamp.
He picked it up and rubbed it.
BOOM! A genie came out.
"You have 3 wishes..."
Ans started listing the rules about the wishes and whatnot.
Then the not very bright guy was all thinking: Oh! I can become rich!
Then suddenly the genie said, "Well you know, there's this way of setting me free."
So the genie told the guy about 9 magical eggs.
They are absolutly identical.
One egg, contains the worlds largest diamond ever.
"If you find out which egg the diamond is in, you get to set me free AND you keep the diamond. The egg with the diamond weight slightly heavier than the others."
So the guy thinks and thinks.
Then he muttered, "I wish I had a scale..."
Poof, there went one wish.
Magical scales can only be used once.
Then he thought and thought and thought.
Still no idea came to him.
Then he sighed and said, "I wish I had another scale."
Poof, there went another wish.
Then he noticed that he used 2 of his wishes already, and got frustraited.
"Ugh! I wish I wasn't so dumb!"
Poof! Genie dissapears and the not so bright who is now bright guy was left with the eggs.
Help him out?

In one barrel, all the fruits in it were Apples.
In the next one, all the fruits in it were Oranges.
The last barrel was Mixed.
All the barrels are mislabed.
What's the minimum amount of fruit you need to take out of a barrel in order to correctly label the barrels?

-No, you cannot tip the whole thing over and see what's inside.
-No, you cannot feel to see what the fruit is.
-There may only be one Apple and all Oranges in the Mixed barrel.
-No, you cannot look inside.

There were 4 people at a bridge at night.
They wanted to cross it, but only had one flashlight.
The bridge was a rope bridge and didn't have any railings.
The first person can cross the bridge in 1 min.
The second can cross it in 2 min.
The third can cross it in 5 min.
The fourth person can cross it in 10 min.
Only two people can fit on it at a time.
When two people cross at the same time, you count the slower person's time.
(Say 1 min person and 10 min person crosses, it takes 10 min )
What is the minimal amount of time needed to cross this bridge?
Explain, or show your work, so I know you didn't just Google it.

-No, you cannot throw the flashlight
-No, the flashlight isn't strong enough to light up the whole bridge
-No, you cannot ask your pet to fly you over.
-No, you do not have supernatural powers.
-No, you cannot carry someone over.

1 minute and 2 minute cross. 1 minute crosses back over. They bring 5 minute over. 1 crosses back and brings over 10. The minimal amount is 19 minutes

I think it's 19min? I did this on paper, so it's a little hard to explain, but I did that the 1min person and the 2min person went over first with the flashlight, so that took 2min, and then the 1min person went back with the flashlight, which adds 1min to the 2min which is 3min.

So the 1min person went back and then came back across the bridge with the 5min person, which adds 5min to the 3min which is 8min, and then the 1min person went back again which adds 1min to the 8min which makes it 9min.

The 1min person goes back again and then comes back with the 10min person which adds 10min to the 9min which equals 19min. Every time the 1min person went back it carried the flashlight.

If it's wrong I don't really care, it sounded like fun to try it.

EDIT: I think I got it! It would be impossible to cross because there are no railings and the bridge would sway so they would fall, so it's a trick question! Am I right?

Luna, it says in the rules that you can't throw the flashlight. What a brain teaser this is.

Then the third and fourth person cross it without a flashlight. 10 min.

So: 12 minutes.

Also it doesn't say you have to have the flashlight to cross it.
