Well, hello, everyone. ^__^ I'm not here often, but it's been hinted that I have a reason to be... a certain someone has dropped hints that I may be getting my first Lucain. And I'm very excited for it. I don't want to be selfish at all... so let me tell you what I'd like your help with.

I would like you to come up with a name and personality for my Lucain! Whether it will be male or female, I have no idea. But there are some guidelines I'd like you to keep in mind, to make things interesting:

1. I would like the name to be German.
2. The personality should have some relation to the meaning of the name.

Beatrix
Gender:Feminine
Usage: English, German, Dutch
Pronounced: BEE-e-triks (English), BAY-ah-triks (Dutch)
Meaning: From Viatrix, a feminine form of the Late Latin name Viator which meant "voyager, traveler". This was the name of a 4th-century saint who was strangled to death during the persecutions of Diocletian. It was a common name amongst early Christians, and the spelling was altered by association with Latin beatus "blessed". Personality: An adventurer from the beginning, Beatrix is a blessed traveler. Once she was a young pup, she ventured out into the wild for a short while to play. She explored from Barraka to Lambastia, from dusk 'til dawn. When she returned home, she was shunned from her family and her friends. Luckily for her she could find shelter in a matter of minutes. When she was a young adult, she founded new islands and areas no other people dared to go. Discovering the hidden secrets of the Idalani Falls was her first expedition. A mere play-time for her would be a 3,000 mile trek. She is the go to girl!

Gender: Masculine
Usage: German, Dutch
Pronounced: All-win
Meaning: From either of the two Germanic names Albwin (a cognate of ?ÜLFWINE) or Adelwin (composed of the elements adal "noble" and win "friend").
Personality: Alwin is a gentle giant. Having many experiences with the young, he is the best care taker that anyone knows. At his young ages, Alwin cared for his young single mother as if she was his child. When his young sister was sick and on the brink of death, he revived her to perfect heath in two days. Now normally a professional doctor would maybe take 3-5 weeks to heal someone, and they may not even heal! In his adolescents he went into Meds School, one over 500 medals for achievement and got his degree. If you're ever in need of a doctor, he's the guy to issue!

Name: Wilhelm
Gender: Male
Meaning: German cognate of WILLIAM. This was the middle name of several philosophers from Germany: Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche, and Gottfried Wilhelm von Leibniz, who was also a notable mathematician.
Personality: On the outside, Wilhelm is a bright, happy male, always willing to help and very outgoing. He works partially as a scientist, trying to use it to help the world.
Except, well, deep down hides a demonic beast waiting to get out. Because of this, he refuses to attach himself to people. Although, that in itself is very hard for him. It's a constant struggle between the mindset he wants, and this demon inside.
On top of that, Wilhelm battles a deadly illness. The same illness known by many, that has taken many lives. The illness has a very familiar name, and is very dangerous. Which furthers his desire to push people away.

Name: Kora
Gender: Female
Meaning: German form of KOR?ã, Means "maiden" in Greek. This was another name for the Greek goddess Persephone.
Personality: Blissfully ignorant, Kora tries to enjoy life to it's fullest, despite being blind. With childish tendencies, and a sweet heart, Kora is typically great to be around. Except in the winter months.
During the winter, Kora is a very dark and secluded being. Often, she'll snap at others, even striking out. But once spring begins, she's back to her usual self. No one knows why she acts like this.
During the summer, especially, she is very exuberant and happy, always smiling or laughing. However, there always seems to be pain behind those smiles.

Gender: Female
Meaning: A clear, bright and famous person
Origin: German
Personality: Clara is an amazing scholar.  She excels at every subject, no matter how foreign it may be to her.  Clara may be known as a goody good girl when it comes to academics, but she is nothing nerdy.  Many, if not all,   boys go crazy over her the minuet she appears.  Clara is a sleek elegant lucain, one that is hard to come by, if not almost impossible.  She is a very sporty person too. She is one of the fastest runners you will ever meet, and few can possibly beet her.  She grew up not knowing who her parents were, but after a while, she simply learned to live with the fact.  She really didn't want to find them in the first place, especially considering her soft heart, and not wanting it to get broken again.  No one quite knows why she has so many different personalities, because if you were to notice, you would see that she is always changing, and yet Clara herself seems almost oblivious to it.  But over all, she is a very popular girl among everyone else, and although she loves all the attention she gets, she doesn't let it go to her head..... at least not always.

Caecilia
Meaning: Latinate feminine form of the Roman family name Caecilius, which was derived from Latin caecus "blind"
Personality: You cannot fully understand Caecilia. She is a strange enigma, and her low and sultry voice only adds to the aura of mystique that surrounds her. When Caecilia talks, you will do your best to listen, least you be lost in the twisting talks that will ensue. She loves to play mind games with others, and sees conversations as battles to be won, with the loser being the one silenced. It is true that she is blind, in a sense, but she is not robbed of her vision. Caecilia is blind to the simple human emotions, and, though, she knows how to provoke these emotions within a person, she does not fully understand it. She sees emotions as knobs and dials on a person to be swiveled around for her own pleasure. She is a master at manipulating feelings, but that does not mean she has to feel the same emotions that her victims do. Caecilia freely speaks of her strange and twisted past life if it benefits her in some way. But be warned; not all the words that Caecilia speaks are true, and you must have a keen ear of detail in order to distinguish fact from fiction. All in all, you could describe Caecilia as strange, mysterious, cold-hearted, and greedy in a sense. Nothing gives her more pleasure than to see a person leaving shaken and broken.

Aldric
Meaning: From a Germanic name, derived from the elements ald "old" and ric "ruler, power"
Personality: You may call Aldric a fallen prince, in a sense. He was set to inherit the throne of the greatest crime families in all of Evelon from his father before the authorities finally caught up to them. His family's business was dispersed, and all his would-be henchmen were scattered away.

At first sight, Aldric doesn't seem much like a crime prince. He has a soft, comfortable feeling around him, a friendly openness when you talk to him. He speaks in a quiet voice, always polite, always steadfast, and never wavering. But don't be deceived. Underneath that friendly exterior is a surprisingly ruthless but torn individual who struggles between saving what remained of his family's legacy and between destroying it forever. He hates the history of violence that came along with his family's name, but, at the same time, can't help but feel a slight admiration for it. Aldric is addicted to the high life, and grudgingly picks up the ruined pieces of the family business in order to keep himself in the lap of luxury. When he sets his sights on something, he will not be easily deterred, and would probably pursue his goal from the grave if he needed to. He has a particularly nasty streak in him that refuses to let go of any kind of grudge. To put it bluntly, this is a Lucain you do not want to cross if you value your life.

ADOLF
Gender: Masculine

Usage: German, Dutch, Scandinavian, Czech, Ancient Germanic

Pronounced: AH-dawlf (German)  

MEANING: From the Germanic name Adalwolf, which meant "noble wolf" from the Germanic elements adal "noble" and wulf. It was borne by several Swedish kings as a first or second name, most notably by Gustav II Adolf in the 17th century. Association with Adolf Hitler (1889-1945), the leader of the Nazi party in Germany during World War II, has lessened the use of this name.

PERSONALITY: Adolf is most like a wolf. A very noble one. He is strong and will not back down from any fight, but then he has never met another lucain who could defeat him. He is loved among all his people for his heroic acts. Although he may seem to noble to you, he will go and play with the young pups at times. He will sometimes train them.

WHY I CHOSE THIS NAME: It means noble wolf. I've always thought of lucains as related to the wolf. Also I imagine your lucain to be noble and fair. If your lucain was to be a leader it would be the best.
