Three lucain-two adults and one pup- walked through the plains. The male was walking ahead of the others, looking around for something to do. Meanwhile, behind him, the female was trying her best to keep the pup from hurting herself. "I can't answer that." said the female. "Why not?" a bell-like voice asked. "Piper, I can't answer because you are asking me so many questions, I can't remember which one I haven't answered." Piper, the little pup, giggled and ran over to yet another creature. It was black and yellow, and remarkably fat. It also had a little pointy thing on it. Piper called to the female and described it. "What is it Mama?"
The male in front whipped around. "Don't touch it!" he yelped and grabbed Piper before she could nip at it. Piper's mother sighed. "Thank you Splash. I didn't understand what she was describing until she was about to nip at it." she said and went to her daughter. "No problem Star. Piper, that's called a bee. They can sting you if you bug them. You are allergic to bee stings. Remember what I told you about Allergies?" he spoke to Star, then looked down at Piper and talked to her. She nodded. "I won't bug them, Splash. I don't want to get an allergack."
Star looked down. "Allergack? Do you mean allergic attack?"
Piper nodded. "Allergack is the two words put together."

Darwin (Dar)

Muun

A blue tali and sprite walk by. They seem to be in deep conversation. They don't seem to know where they are until the tali trips over a rock and falls face first into the ground. He stands up and introduces himself.
"I'm Darwin! Call me Dar! This is my companion Muun."
Muun says, " I heard you talking about an allergack. I had one of those once. Very painful." Apparently, Muun has very good hearing.

It seemed that there were more than three Lucain on the Vast Plains that day. Kofi, the Lucain, had been dragged out for a little fresh air and socialization by a young male Spectrakuhna named Rainfall.

"C'mon Kofi, it's nice out!" Rainfall seemed to be rather energetic and playful, much like a Kit or Pup. One might say he was rather nieve. "Why don't you just say hi! It can't hurt!"

"Rainfall, I'm tired," Kofi said quietly to the kuhna. He wasn't in such a great mood today, apparently. He'd been dragged out here by the energetic Spectrakuhna against his will, and he was tired, even though they had just gotten to the plains.

Kofi didn't seem to want to go near the other creatures, although Rainfall knew that he'd eventually warm up to them. That was one of the things about Kofi's split marking; the white side was his warmer side, the black side his colder side.

Piper giggled as Muun spoke about an allergack. She turned to her mother. "See mama? There is such thing as an allergack!" she said. She had heard the sprite say that it was very painful, but being a pup, her mind jumped off it quickly. Splash sighed and turned to the Tali and Sprite. "My name's Summersplash...Splash for short and this is my friend Seastar, though she likes people to call her Star. This little one is Star's daughter, Piper." he said, introducting himself. Star smiled at him, thankful for introducing them. After all, she was too busy with her entergetic little girl.
Suddenly, Piper ran off. She had seen the lucain and kuhna in the distance. She ran up to them, giggling. "I live with someone who looks like you! It's a girl though." she said quickly to the kuhna. Somehow she knew that it was a male from a distance. Then she looked up at the lucain. "You look weird." she said. Behind her, Star ran after her. When she caught up, she pulled the pup back with a paw. "I'm so sorry." she said, embarrased. She ignored the constant questions that Piper was throwing at her, making Piper whine and prod her urgently. She apologized again, but then the pup pressed her paw into Star, her claws digging into her. "Piper...he looks like that because it's a marking. Like my blue stars." Star sighed, answering the question that Piper was asking the most.

[center]Kofi came closer to the three Lucain, Rainfall following. " It's quite all right," he said, nodding his head as the introductions were made. "I'm Kofi," he introduced. "This is Rainfall." He paused. "She doesn't know better. She's just a pup, after all." Of course, she probably hadn't seen too many Lucain with the Split marking around.

Rainfall didn't mind at all. "Yep, I'm a Spectrakuhna," he said playfully. He stretched his front legs out in front of himself, returning to a standing postion, as if he couldn't find anything better to do.

(OOC: Sorry if my post isn't so great; I've got a bit of a headache.)

Piper laughed. Why? Who knows? She probably just wanted to. Then she managed to squirm out of her mother's grasp and bounced in front of Rainfall. "Specter-koona?" she laughed again, and looked back at her mother as she was corrected on the word 'Spectrekuhna'. She laughed again and weaved between Kofi's legs. Then she giggled, and darted out, running towards Splash. Suddenly, one of her legs buckled and she fell. Star ran over and lifted her up, a worried look on her face. "I'm okay Mama!" the pup squealed, but Star wasn't comforted. She did let the pup go, and Piper ran back under Kofi. Splash just sat down and watched them all with a sense of boredom and regality.

[center]"It's all okay," Rainfall said. He really didn't mind mispronounciations, even of his own name. Not that that ever happened. As for Piper running under Kofi, he laughed to himself. Experience with the outside world was good for the cold Lucain, and that was one of the reasons Rainfall had brought him out here. Kofi would have his own pups one day, after all.

Kofi ignored the fact that the pup was underneath him, although he did spread his legs out to give himself and Piper both more comfort. Why had Rainfall dragged him out here? Couldn't one be in peace sometime? Well, he may as well just make use of it. He would talk, but he didn't know what to say right now.

Piper peeked her head out and looked up at Kofi. "You don't talk much do you?" she asked him. "Piper!" her mother scolded. Splash stood and walked over to sit beside Star. "You really should be able to control a pup, Star." he said. Star glared at him. Piper noticed and shrunk back under Kofi. Her smile was gone. "Splash, must you always be so cold?" she snapped at him. Then he retorted and the two began to argue. Piper resisted the urge to whimper and cry. She ended up starting arguments like this alot, and it made her sad. "Mama...Uncle Splash...please..." she whined, pressing against Kofi's leg.

[center]"It's fine," Kofi inturrupted loudly. "She's juat a pup, anyway," he said. "I'm used to this kind of thing at home." They occasionally had litters of kuhna kits come home. It was often loud and noisy, especially recently. And Dawn contributing to it, too... She wasn't often any better than the kits.

Rainfall had a feeling that he knew what was on Kofi's mind. He was somewhat guilty for contributing to the noise at home; he had a loud, noisy, hyper daughter by the name of Sandra. The both of them knew that Kofi disliked all the noise at home, and Sandra often annoyed Kofi because of that; It was one of the reasons he had brought Kofi out here.

Rainfall twitched his tails nervously. "We get things like this at home a lot," he said to Piper, half-smiling.

Piper nodded slightly, but she didn't come out from under the split lucain. "They argue alot. It's not always about me. I just wish Splash could be like he used to be...nice." she whispered to the kuhna, and sort of to Kofi. Her eyes filled with tears, but she held them back.

Meanwhile, Star just stopped talking altogether, and ignored Splash. The male lucain stood and stalked off, his ears flat back in anger. He sat just within earshot, and pretended to watch whatever else he could. Star closed her eyes and sighed, trying to calm herself. She looked sad.

[center]Rainfall and Kofi nodded, Kofi nodding slowly. He'd seen a lot of arguing at home, especially Akemi, another Lucain who lived with them, doing the arguing. She was one other Lucain who definitely needed to get out for some fresh air or a walk.

Kofi shifted himself uncomfortably, although he tried not to make the pup under him uncomfortable. He may have been cold and slightly antisocial, but he definitely didn't want to make the pup uncomfortable.

"So, um, what brings you out here?" Rainfall asked, trying to smooth over the argument that had just taken place.

Star opened her eyes, looked at the kuhna, and blinked. Then she realized that she and Splash had argued in front of the other two. Slowly, the blood rose to her face. Then she managed to get herself to talk. "Well, we actually just needed to get out. None of us have really been out of our home, in Barakka. So, we figured we should come out...why here? I honestly don't know." she said.

Piper noticed Kofi shift and smiled, comming out from under him. She tended to know and understand more than most pups, or even grown lucain for that matter. She sat just in front of Kofi's front legs. She looked over at Splash nervously, able to see that he was watching them out of the corner of his eyes. Then she looked up at Kofi with a large smile plastered on her face. Star noticed and knew that her daughter had taken a liking to this quiet lucain.

[center]Rainfall nodded. "Same here. Mr. Grumpy here-" -he gestured towards Kofi with his tails- "needed some fresh air and a walk, so I decided to bring him out here. There's a lot of open space out here, so what better place?" He said.

Kofi gave a small smile at the young Lucain looking up at him. He was somewhat suprised how Piper had noticed the slight shift in his foot position. She seemed to be quite sensitive to the "uncomfortable-ness" of his previous position.

Star nodded and smiled at the kuhna. "Yes, it's really open out here. Maybe that's why Splash chose here...it's a good place for a pup." she said. "Oh, Splash is the one that chose to come here, if you haven't already gathered that." Piper giggled, and poked Kofi gently with her paw. "So you can smile!" she said, then looked at her mother with a smile. Her mother wasn't very good at wording things, often giving people the wrong impression. "She meant to say 'I forgot to mention, Splash chose this place, as you've proabably figured out from what I said earlier.'" the pup smiled, and Star shook her head in wonder. "How your mind works is beyond me." she said with a smile.

[center]"Yeah, it's a really nice place. I just love all the open space," Rainfall said. "It's somewhere to run," he said. The air was nice and fresh and clean, and crisp, too. It wasn't like anywhere else in the world. Kofi almost laughed at Piper's remark. He smiled wider now, and Rainfall actually did laugh. "Anybody can smile," Rainfall said. "He's just Mr. Grumpy," he added with another laugh. He was teasing Kofi again.

"Stop, Rainfall," Kofi said to Rainfall, still smiling. "I'm not Mr. Grumpy," he said. He was just quiet, and maybe... okay, fine, he was grumpy at home, but he wasn't going to admit it here.
