Be it to the north or south, Basantha is characterized by harsh climates most Lambastians prefer not to trek. To the north are the frigid Fe'gan Mountains, Lambastia's highest and coldest peaks. Further south you'll encounter the arid expanse of the Wilt'no Desert, where most life only comes out during the night. Travelers find little escape to the west, even though the Tuun Mountains aren't quite as harsh.

The larger of Evelon's two most prominent western continents, Lambastia is characterized by vast coniferous forests and plains to the south and west, with harsh environments of deserts and towering mountains to the north and east. Most of Lambastia's bustling cities and rich harbors can be found along the southeast coast, where travelling to the southern continent of Barakka takes approximately five days by sea.

Lambastia's ports are known greatly for the export of rice and other grains, wood, salt, and many artistic goods. Travelers from all around the world are drawn to visit the unique and dangerous expanses of the north, though there are many that would rather trek to the Holy City of Aldrect in search of religious enlightenment. Many say that the religion of the Holy Triumvirate was founded somewhere on Lambastia's shores.

You can find more information on many notable locations in the northeastern region of Basantha here.

Basantha Shrine - If you find yourself able to trek the shoulders of the snowy Fe'gan Mountains, you will find a temple of the most dubious and odd nature resting on one of the southern peak. A long, winding path of stone steps crusted in ice leads up to the entrance, lined with irregular stone forms that have become indistinguishable from the frozen ice heavily encrusting them. Despite the exterior, many making a holy pilgrimage find the Shrine to be a great place of worship. Others claim that beneath the stone temple lay the resting places of the Three Fallen Seraphim, enemies of the Holy Triumvirate, and consider it sin to step foot within the temple's halls. There have also been whispers that the Hunter clans were cursed within these walls, unable to return to their homes in the Craiss Caverns.

Fe'gan Mountains - One of Lambastia's numerous mountain ranges, the Fe'gan Mountains are the highest and coldest moutains the continent has to offer. The highest peak, just off the coast of Yuunu Sea, has been recorded at 8589 m (28,179 ft). Some small towns have been established near the base of the mountains, where villagers breed hearty Albie that help hunt for food in the mountains, making the Raindoe and Capryclones their main food source. Others hire their loyal Albie out to travelers seeking to visit the Basantha Shrine. Well trained Albie are also often sent them out in search of anyone that got lost within the mountains, able to dig people out from avalanches caused by Tundragoon territorial disputes.

Tuun Mountains - The longest mountain range in Lambastia, the Tuun Mountains cover up much of the northwest in a multitude of difference ranges and solitary mountains. A few of these mountains extend in to other regions of the continent, though as a whole the Tuun is considered to be part of Basantha. Unlike the harsh Fe'gan, the Tuun Mountains have varying temperatures, from very mild to slightly colder depending on where you go and which ranges you explore. The mountains are also known for carrying many hidden treasures, such as deep caves and buried gems and fossils. Just be careful where you're stepping, as you might find that what you thought was a rock when it was actually a sleeping Garagnir. Some have made the mistake of trying to mine precious jewels to quickly be greeted by the angered cries of a Stargoyle.

Wilt'no Desert - Scientists have concluded that the Wilt'no Desert was actually once a great, lush forest much like the Roraldi Forests centuries ago. None have been able to come up with a theory explaining why it seems to have lost all of it's former charm though. With temperatures rising over 143°C (289.40°F) in most areas, the only relief given is during the nights when it is much cooler. All travelers are advised to keep to the local towns on the desert's outskirts and avoid traveling too far from civilization. Rumor has it that there are mysterious temples of the past hidden away beneath the sands, with speak of settlements that once referred to Wilt'no as 'the Nothing World' or 'the Empty World' for its lack of life. No one has brought back any evidence of these civilizations though, or those that have are closely safeguarding the secrets.
