Joli piped up after the exchange had been made. "We're also here for a few basics today, but do you have any Gummies?"

"Ah yes, Gummies," said the purple Kecleon.

"Let us check our inventory for you," said the green Kecleon.

In unison, the two of them turned away from Nico and Joli, to rummage through their boxes and murmur to one another.

Even though there was only the space of a counter separating the two Kecleons from Nico and Joli, Nico found that he couldn't make out any of what the two Kecleon brothers were saying, try as he might to listen in. They were really quite good at that, actually.

"We have these," said the green Kecleon, presenting three different Gummies to Nico. That was better than what Nico was expecting, since they often had only one available for him or sometimes none at all.

He wondered if they had trouble sourcing this stuff too, since it definitely wasn't an issue with demand. If they were available, he would always buy them, even if he could barely afford it that day. And it had been a while since he was last strapped on cash for big purchases.

It wouldn't surprise him. After all, he had a lot of trouble finding Gummies himself on his own forays into dungeons. But he also didn't know where they came from, aside from that.

Maybe the Kecleons had their own alternate avenues of getting their hands on these items... Where did the Kecleon sales stock come from, anyway? But he knew better than to ask them, since they would be giving away their trade secrets if they told him something like that. And the Kecleons were already the type that preferred to be opaque about their dealings as much as possible. There was no way they would answer that kind of bald faced question.

The real risk in saying it aloud would have been the chance that he might offend them though. He really didn't want that.

"We'll take the lot," Nico said. He was happy, but he was also sad. Buying Gummies was an expensive affair, and it took a lot of them before they seemed to do any good. Sure, they were tasty, but Nico was looking at these purchases as a business investment, since the skills gained from a Pokemon who ate a lot of them were very useful.
