Though many beings were passing through the area, two were standing still, unsure of what they were going to do.

One, a gold-scaled Hollowheart, was watching those passing through, the band tied around his horn fluttering in the slight breeze, but otherwise still, the hardened, suspicious, and serious look in his eyes and the gentle pulse of color on his chest the only sign that he wasn't a lifelike statue.

The other one, a Hydrokuhna, was sitting on the Hollowheart's head. He was looking around at the signs that told where each path led, a grin on his face.

"Hey, Gallo," the watery feline said. The Hollowheart's eyes flickered up in a quick glance, giving the Hydrokuhna a signal to continue speaking. "Where do you think we should go? I'd suggest the place with the most chicks, but I don't know what that would be."

"I think," Gallo responded, body unmoving and speech purely in the feline's mind, "that you, Zelos, should just pick somewhere so we can get this trip over with." Few Hollowhearts enjoyed traveling, and Gallo was no exception, with the way the word "trip" was uttered with a sort of acidic sound clinging to it and causing Zelos to nearly break his cool composure and flinch.

"You sure are pleasant to talk to. Fine... we'll ask someone else where a good place to go is. Or is the mighty stoic too good to talk to inferior beings?" Zelos said, moving from his perch on Gallo's head and jumping off to land gently on the ground. He got only a glare from his companion.

Siren strolled through the bridge platform, unconcerned by the busyness that crowded the place. The Hydrokuhna was simply trying to survive Nox's chattering at the moment. The whole way back from Basantha, he had been alternately moping and talking nonstop, and right now he happened to be in one of his talking-without-pausing-between-sentences phases.
This was so not a good idea.
With Equinox trotting along beside her, it was hard to concentrate on figuring out which way led back home. Part of her didn't even want to go home yet, not after their adventure in the Shrine.

"Hey, Siren," said the Common Kuhna, stopping in the middle of a long sentence about what might have happened to a Ferrikoon they had met on their journey. "I wonder if they need help?"
Siren was at a loss as to what he meant, until she turned and saw a Hollowheart and another Hydrokuhna standing in the middle of the platform, unsure as to where to go. She opened her mouth to reply, but Nox was already trotting towards the other pets, so Siren just sighed and followed.

Dalizie stepped primly onto the platform, a sole, unnoticed figure in the bustling crowd of tourists and citizens alike. She grinned. We'll have to fix that.

A tall, glimmering figure caught her eye. As she watched, a small blue creature migrated from what she presumed to be the figure's head to the ground.

Tourists? she thought. Foreigners, probably, if they are to be judged by their appearances. She smirked, then thought about Lu-la. What would she have her do?

"Help out those in need" she recalled Lu-la saying. She looked back at the lost people. Well, it wasn't like she knew where she was either, but maybe she could still help out somehow. She sauntered over to the gold figure.

"Hey, I'm Dalizie," she said. "Do you need some help?"

Seeing two Kuhnas, one normal and one a watery one like him, approach, Zelos allowed the feline grin on his face to grow slightly.

"Oh, hello there!" he said as they got within speaking range. "Now, who would you be?" He didn't introduce himself just yet, wanting to know what he was getting into first. Gallo showed a sign of life at last, angling his head down to look at the two newcomers. The Hollowheart was silent, however, and only watched, still serious and suspicious.

This was fairly typical of him, and Zelos paid the action no mind.

"I'm Equinox!"
The Common Kuhna bounded forward eagerly, glad to see that the others had noticed him.
"That's Siren," he added, flicking his tail toward the disgruntled Hydrokuhna who was reluctantly following him. "We just came from Basantha."
Nox faltered for a moment, slightly anxious upon seeing the Hollowheart up close. The golden dragon-like pet seemed more reserved and suspicious than Equnox was used to; the Kuhna was a little nervous.

Siren slipped up behind her companion. "We were just passing through," she said, much more calmly than Equinox.
"Nox, maybe we should be getting back."

The Common Kuhna stood up straighter, looking affronted. "Nonsense. Siren, it's so exciting here!"
He turned back to the Hollowheart and the other Hydrokuhna, saying, "So, who are you?" as Siren surreptitiously rolled her eyes.

Zelos grinned, glad to meet someone new who didn't seem bad... and two of them, no less. One was even a girl.

"I'm Zelos. Good to meet you, Siren and Equinox," he said. He had noticed Nox falter, and quickly added, "This is Gallo. He's a pretty serious guy, but he can be pretty cool. Don't worry about him, he has a thing about strangers."

At the mention of his name, the tip of Gallo's tail twitched. He narrowed his eyes slightly, a glare directed at Zelos, and then looked away.

Well, Gallo isn't glaring at me,at least, thought Equinox. He grinned as the other Kuhna introduced himself, while still sort of bouncing around in semi-uncontrolled bursts of energy.

Siren stepped up before Nox could say anything else. "So, where are you heading? Or do you not know yet?" she asked the two other pets.
She wasn't too nervous about Gallo-- he at least was just suspicious and serious. She could tell that he wouldn't hurt them, though she didn't exactly feel like sharing her thoughts on this with Nox. Nox did seem to be mostly reassured be Zelos, though, which did save her the trouble of Nox being too nervous and jumpy wherever they went, like the last time.

"I believe Zelos is still deciding what our destination is."

These were the first words Gallo had spoken since the newcomers arrived, and in his mind, the only ones he was likely to speak until they left. Zelos looked up, surprised.

"Huh, I'm surprised you actually talked. What next, you gonna actually make friends with someone?" Zelos remarked, looking up at Gallo. Gallo gave a soft, annoyed snort, but no verbal response. "...Um. Anyways, you guys headed anywhere particular?" The Hydrokuhna knew he could tease Gallo all he wanted and never get anything worse than a light smack with the Hollowheart's tail, but talking to the new people was more interesting than poking fun at his companion.

Siren raised an eyebrow as the Hollowheart finally spoke. She could see that the two were friends, despite obvious personality differences. Despite her reservations, she was beginning to think that another expedition could be interesting.
"We were heading home," she replied to Zelos's question, "but I could be convinced to go somewhere." She glanced over at Equinox, sure he would take this opportunity.

And sure enough, the Common Kuhna did.
"Yeah, let's all go somewhere!" he declared. "Since no one here can decide what to do, we might as all do it together, right?"
He paused, thinking, before saying, "We could go to Basantha again!"
At this, Siren noticably cringed, and Nox hurridly added, "Or the forest. Or the jungle. Or even the city! We could even explore here," he continued, bounding over to the edge of the platform and looking out at all the people and pets passing through. "It looks interesting enough."

Walking up to the platform was a Wood Meji. His name is Professor Layton.

Running in front of him is a Imperial Ferrikoon. His name is Spike.

Spike is running toward the platform, not paying attention as always. When he ran, smack in the side of the platform, right before Pro. Layton yelled out, "Watch out Spike!" Right when he said Spike, He hit the platform full force with the shock waving to the end of Spikes Tail. Pro. Layton ran up and apologized.
"I am so sorry!" Pro. Layton looks up apologetically.

"Well, now. A group adventure? That could be exciting. I really don't see why not, and I really don't care where we go-" Zelos started. He heard a thud, and glanced over to see the source. Just a red-and-white Ferrikoon being an idiot. If he came over, he'd certainly have to introduce himself so Zelos could poke fun at him. He shrugged, and then added, "Though I'm sure Gallo's going to say-"

"If you are going to drag me into some kind of adventure, as I am sure Zelos will even if you two do not, I would prefer not to go to the city. It's too populated for my liking," Gallo said, narrowing his eyes at the word 'populated'.

"Alright," said Equinox. "Then... why don't we go to the Tengel Rainforest? There isn't any snow there. It's probably interesting there. And there aren't any creepy things to hurt us or eat us or something, like last time."
Nox looked excited. Then his face fell a bit, and he turned to the female Hydrokuhna. "At least I don't think there are..."
Siren hurridly cut in before Nox could continue with his doubts. "Oh, I don't think so," she reassured him, careful not to let him remember the Moonlings that lived in Tengel. "Tengel sounds great. And it's not very populated." She turned back to Zelos and Gallo, as did Equinox.
The thud of the newcomers, a Ferrikoon and a Meji, made Siren raise an eyebrow and smirk. It reminded her of the way Nox could act sometimes.
Speaking of Equinox, the Common Kuhna looked around, saying, "Mahogani?" before he realized that this Ferrikoon was an Imperial. "Oh. You're not Mahogani." He waved his tails at the strange pair. "Hello!"
Siren rolled her eyes. Nox could get distracted quite easily, at least when he wasn't frightened.

Professor Layton stood in front of his reckless friend and said in a calm tone, Hello. I'm sorry that my friend here has ran in on the middle of your conversation. He is not the sharpest tool in the shed. He can be quiet dense at times.
Pro. Layton looked at Spike and Spike flew up to the group.
Hey! Sorry about that. We were just walking around, and I ran into you guys. So what might your names be? Mines-
Pro. Layton Jumped in front of him and stopped him. He glared at Spike.

Pro. Layton turns around sensing some one approaching. Leaning towards Spike and the rest he says, Looks like we have company. Should I turn them into ants?
Spike looks at him and rolls his eyes. Wait till they talk to us first.
Pro. Layton and Spike wait, staring.
