Most of Lambastia's city life can be found along the southeastern coast of Norrega, where settlers feel they are safe from Nori Volcano at the northern tip of the region. Warm gulf winds ensure this region is the most habitable on the continent, though travelers are warned of the disappearances of many venturing too close to the Whisper Forest. Species from all over are housed at the Evelon Preservation Zoo.

"Come on, Xeko."

"No."

The girl gave a hopeless tug at the yonyuu's leash, but to no avail. What was the use? The pet was much larger than her, and there was no possible way she could get him out of the stubborn rut he was in now. Sure, he didn't have a very high intelligence, but he could still utter the phrase that humans learn just as their minds begin to grow.

"No," he said again, planting his paws firmly on the ground. "No want."

Kat put a hand to her head. "You're hopeless." Those bright orange eyes of his glared defiantly into hers. He may have had the gift of human speech, but he certaintly didn't use it much. This was one of the rare occasions that he actually vocalized.

But, even if he did arise, where was she headed to? She had no idea. She had thought about heading to Terrace Park to work on loyalty and to prevent incidents, such as this, from happening, but, after looking at all the interesting places on the map, she wasn't exactly sure which way to go. The Nori Volcano sounded incredibly cool, but the Dead Coast sounded like a rather fun place to visit. The Roraldi Forest looked like it would be an absolutely amazing experience, but she might as well work on some training in the Vast Plains.

While these thoughts circled endlessly in her head, Xeko was not moving a muscle.

Meanwhile, the cursed yonyuu noticed that his owner's grip on the lead had lessened. Ears perked up, he bagen to survey the bridge, while he was caught in his own thoughts.

Water... lots... big... Fragments of thoughts flitted in and out of his brain as he poked his skull through one of the railings. Liquid rushed underneath the wooden structure. He wandered along the planks, careful not to stray too far from his master. After all, she had cared for him, and she wouldn't completely abandon her.

Kat, on the other hand, was still busy deciding where to go. All places offered great training advantages, save for that Cathedral, which would only add to Xeko's darkness. An evil cursed yonyuu? Yick. She wouldn't make him suffer through the Wilt'no desert (not to mention that she wasn't ver excited about that place, either), or the Nori Volcano, seeing as she, nor Xeko, were very... um... flame-resistant.

So that left Terrace Park, Roraldi Forest, the Vast Plains, Dead Coast, Medicai City, Aldrect, and Basantha Shrine. Scratch Medicai-- she wasn't in for that journey. Basantha might be interesting, although she wasn't really sure. Might as well stay away from cities, scratching out Aldrect and Basantha. The Dead Coast didn't seem to have much to offer at that point, and neither did Roraldi. So she had either Terrace Park or the Vast Plains.

"...Xeko?" Suddenly realiing that her pet was missing, Kat's heart gave a jump. "Uhm..." She spotted the yonyuu, mesmerized by the water.

Quickly taking Xeko's leash, Kat chided the pet for leaving. The cursed creature looked on with a bored expression.

Off of that subject, the trainer turned back to her dilemma. Terrace Park or the Vast Plains? She turned to Xeko, who was now staring at the water again.

"What do you think, buddy? Mr. Wilsons or Wombears?" No answer. She sighed.

Well, it wasn't as if she should be surprised. Xeko hardly ever answered these these questions she posed at him. Looks like she would have to decide for herself.

Terrace park seemed like a fine place to visit, not to mention get Xeko a little more listening, also. But it might be rather boring. Still, the Vast Plains didn't offer very much, either. Her head spun with indecision.

"Please answer..."

Nothing.

What should she expect?

Sighing, Kat gave a useless tug on the pet's leash. Xeko would not budge.

"Please be helpful, for once in your life."

The cursed pet was fixated on the swirling torrents below, not even glancing at his desperate owner. Kat had half the mind to shove him in there. But what was so interesting about it? It was just water, and the stupid yonyuu was in some state of shock because of it.

"Xeko, move."

Recieving no response, the frustrated trainer threw the leash onto the ground. "Fine," she snapped. "Go stare at the water."

It was so close... so close to his outstretched claws. He just wanted to touch it, to feel the cool waves over his paws. Just a little bit farther...

"Alright, mister," Kat growled through clenched teeth. "We're leaving. Now. To Terrace Park." The cursed pet didn't move.

"No," he simply stated.

"Xeko, let's go."

"No want. Water. Want water."

"I'm sure the park has a pond or something."

"Water."

"Yes, Xeko. Ponds are water." The trainer sighed. The yonyuu seemed to be thinking about it, his orange eyes shifting.

"We go to water."

Breathing out in relief, Kat finally responded. "Yes, Xeko. To the pond at Terrace Park."
