"So when are we going to start killing the humans?" Night's young, eager voice caused Jinyelle to turn around, a look of disdain on her face. Before she could chastise him for being so quick to act without thinking, Shadow spoke words that similarly matched the ones in her mind. "Quiet, young one. You know not of which you speak." His voice was deep, slightly gravelly, as if he were much older than his twenty-five years.
Although he was older than Jinyelle by two years, Shadow was content to let her lead, as she had more expertise in battle strategy. Night, however, always seemed to be trying to rush things along. God, he was only nineteen years old, and he was already trying to take over. No, Jin had to tell herself, he wasn't trying to take over. He was simply eager to begin. She should commend him for that, shouldn't she?
"All in time," Jin said quietly. "These things must be planned perfectly. Although we are bigger and stronger, the humans have greater numbers and weapons. If we are to succeed, we have to strategize, and be sure that we will have the upper hand."
