What is a Pirate doing in the desert you might ask.
Well that is a long tale.
A tale best told at another time.
Right now this Pirate is busy with another tale.
See, she's being hunted down.
Being separated from the crew, she had to start over here in the desert.
Which ment she was going to steal from tose lost here as well.
The word of her doings reached the ears of a bounty hunter.
Now he is on her tail!


Neil~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Kabaho

Neil rides on Kabaho's back.
They have been tracking the Pirate for three days.
The track nearly cold.
But Neil doesn't give up.
Kabaho strides slowly through the sand.
Little do they all know, but they are closer to each other than they think.

Already the two of them had gotten lost. Lovely. Sketre really had to wonder why he had willingly left with this woman. Right.. Treasures... He just had to keep in mind that even though they might have been lost, there was still the chance that he could find something valuable to take. "Isss losst again, no?" He craned his neck around to look at the human girl walking slightly slower behind him. She had been slowing down for some time now. Well.. They were in the desert. He found it quite nice really. Sure, it was a lot brighter out here than his old home, but much warmer. He liked that quite a lot. This girl though... She didn't seem to be doing so well with the heat. Then again... Most mammals didn't. Maybe she should have brought some water.

"Well ah..." Her amethyst eyes looked around them, her body moving rather sluggish. "Well... We're not really.. lost? We're in the desert!" Seemed like an excuse really. Sure, they didn't know the exact whereabouts of where they were, but they knew they were in a desert. Okay. Let's face it... They were lost.

The sounds of galloping feet could be heard from the distance.
Ebony rode on Tsite's back like a horse.
He sped through the desert, like his kind were made to do.
Climbing over rock formations that were in the way.
And jumping over sand dunes.
It was easy for him to run away from the Bounty Hunter.
Ebony looked back to see if the Bounty Hunter was close.
No, he still wan't visible.
This was a good thing.
She turned back to see they were headed into two travelers.
She pulled up on the straps adn Tsite jumped clear over them.
Without stopping she turned back to them.
"Watch where your going!" She yelled back to them as they ran off.
Shaking her fist and making a nasty face.
I hate tourist. She thought to herself.

Faye, being her abnormal self, sort of spazzed when something flew over her head, ending up with her body flat on the hot sand beneath her. Falling down had been quite the common thing for Faye lately it seemed. It didn't take anything at all to trip over. She could trip over air really. When things just flew right over you, it didn't usually make things exactly easier.

The Akail on the other hand didn't take so kindly to this invasion of his space. The spiny appendages along his back began to light up slightly, making a rattling noise as they started to shake. His stout legs sped along the sandy terrain, leaving the human girl behind for the time being. Oh he'd be back for her, but not until after he got ahold of that beast. Besides... Surely she could last on her own for a few minutes? He was able to keep up with the Rathril easily enough, not letting it get too far ahead. "Watch where we'sss going? Isss you ssshould watch. Don't have eyess in the back of head." Usually he was doing pretty good at speaking, but anger seemed to change this slightly.

Neils head turned.
What was that?
A weird noise.
Pulling on the straps he headed in the direction of the sound.
Whatever it was, it could lead him to the Pirate.

Ebony turned to the Akail.
She hissed at him, mocking his speech.
Tsite took one of his front paws and attempted to smack the Akail away.
Growling to add effect.

Why did she always find herself on the ground...? It seemed like anywhere she went, Faye found herself on the ground at least once or twice, if not even more times. She stood up now, brushing off some of the sand from her outfit. She wouldn't be able to get rid of all of it, but at least she could try. "Sketre....?" She began to walk after them, although she was much slower. Would have been nice if she were able to ride on his back....

"Iss mocking?" the Akail hissed out, moving out of the way of the strike from Tsite and dropping behind them slightly. This was for a reason though, as the Akail now lashed out at the Rathril's back leg. Unless it sped up a bit, it'd probably be losing a bit of flesh from that leg.

Neil whiped that straps.
Urging Kabaho on faster.
Jumping from a rock formation he saw someone walking in the distance.
Maybe they would know of the Pirate?
Kabaho galloped towards her.
Then pulling up on the straps.
Neil caused him to jump over her.
Putting on the breaks.
Kabaho U-turned and slowly headed towards the girl.

Tsite didn't know what was going on.
And not knowing to speed up.
The Akails attack landed on him.
He roared and reared up.
Ebony flailed the straps around.
Attempting to calm him.
"Whoa, whoa!" She yelled.
Tsite calmed and fell to the earth again.
The leg that was scared knelt down.
He looked to the Akail with angry eyes.
Ebony jumped off and turned to the monster.
"Think you can mess with my Rathril?" She said angrily.
Her right arm snaked to her back, then coming around again to show a blade.
She pointed at him.
"I'll teach you." She added.

"Sketre.....?" Her voice was weaker this time as she called out for the odd companion, looking at the fading tracks that had been left behind. Sad didn't really make it easy to track anything. The wind blew it around so easily that the tracks faded so quickly. This didn't much matter though, as she was soon unable to keep following the tracks. The moment Neil flew over her head she was back on the sad again, letting out a small wince. Too hot... She didn't want to get back up.

Oddly enough.... Rathrils tasted good. Well, the bite that Sketre had gotten tasted pretty dang good compared to anything he could have gotten by scavenging. The meat was a bit tough, but it was all muscle. No nasty fat tissue. He backed away slightly though as Tsite drew the sword, the appendages on his back beginning to rattle once again as he let out a long hiss. "Iss doesss not care to fight..." Well, he might not like to fight, but if she came any closer to him with that blade, he would gladly show her what an Akail could do. "Iss your fault for being carelesss."

Neil watched her fall.
Gasping he lashed the straps and Kabaho sped up to her.
Neil jumped from his back to her side.
"Are you all right?" He asked as he lifted her from the sand.
He cpulled out his canteen and unscrewed it.
"Here, are you thursty?" He asked, lifting it towards her head.
He stopped when he had heard the wierd sound.
"What is that?" He asked his self.

Ebony slashed the blade threw the air.
Then placed it back in her sash.
"I don't got time to deal with you!" She yelled as she turn back towards Tsite.
She checked his wounds.
They weren't that bad.
Any way, a Rathril could take on worst.
Jumping back on him.
She grabbed the straps and whipped them.

Someone... picked her up..? Faye opened her eyes and the first thing that she could see was the rather creepy mask covering Neil's face. "P-Pleasedon'thurtme.Iwouldn'ttastegoodafterwalkingthroughthehea-" The jumbled up words stopped instantly as the canteen of water was offered to her. "Oh... Thank you. Sorry about that..." After letting out a nervous chuckle, Faye took the canteen and took a small drink. She made sure not to take a lot. He'd probably need it himself after all. "You're the second person to come through here on one of those... things." Her eyes had shifted over to look at Kabaho, that way he'd know what she was talking about. "Although... The other one was a different color. My companion ran after them..."

Barely able to dodge the blade in time, Sketre watched to woman get back on the Rathril with a hiss. "Next timess won't be sso nicce. Iss sshould learn from your own wordss." He wouldn't chase them this time, but he did give a warning snap of his jaw, lashing at thin air just for the sake of a rather threatening noise. Maybe that wound would be enough to show them not to be so careless in who they bossed around.

Neil turned back to the female.
"You saw someone else riding through here?" He asked.
He slowly placed her down.
That must be the pirate. He thought to his self.
"Do you remember which way they went and how long it has been since they past by?" He asked her.

Ebony just stuck her tongue out at him as they raced off.
He thought he was so tough.
She just didn't have time to fight right now.
The Bounty Hunter could be on their tale.

The human girl gave a small smile, nodding. "Well... I'd say it's been less then ten minutes or so." Shielding her eyes slightly with a delicate hand, Faye looked out in the direction her scaled friend had followed the others in. "They went that way... But I'm not sure if they possibly changed directions after the fact though." Looking back at the man that had helped her up, Faye smiled. "I wouldn't mind tagging along with you for just a bit... well, if you don't mind. My companion, an Akail, ran after them... so he might have slowed them down a bit. He didn't seem exactly all that happy when he went after them either..."

'Thought he was so tough'...? He might not be able to fight as well up here as he could in the caverns due to his sight being impaired due to the sun, but he could easily hold his own in a fight. Life in the caverns weren't easy in the least; everyone had to fight a few times down there to manage to get by. After giving one last glare after the fleeing pirate and her companion, sketre started to slowly walk his way back toward Faye.

Neil smiled.
Thought she wouldn't have noticed do to his mask.
"You can join me." He replied, patting the seat behind him on Kabaho's back.
Kabaho huffed a deep breath at the action.
He wasn't that amused by it.
Neil just petted his mane.
"Now now." He replied, knowing what Kabaho meant.

Ebony looked back to see if the Akail had chased them.
She noticed that he was going the opposite way.
"Well, seems like we scared him off." She said to Tsite.
She smiled widely.
She would love to run back and gloat at him.
To edge him on.
But the Bounty Hunter was close.
She just knew it.

Oh good. She got to ride with them. That meant... less walking on hot sand. It also meant that she might get to meet back up with Sketre sooner. At the speed he had took off, it would have been hours before she could have found him if she was left out on her own. "Thank you." Her dainty hands gave Kabaho's maw a soft pat of thanks before taking a seat behind Neil. "By the way... I'm not quite sure if I introduced myself. I'm Faye Labri. I'm... not sure if I caught your name either."

Had they turned around to taunt the Akail, it was highly likely that he wouldn't have walked away so casually. He had let them off for now because they had done no damage to the girl he was traveling with and hadn't managed to touch him either. Pride would have forced him to actually do something about them if they came back to face him though. "Ssso ssslow... Usslesss human girl....."

Neil wiped the straps.
Signaling to Kabaho to start.
Kabaho slowly trotted in the direction the girl had pointed.
"Nice to meet you Faye, my names Neil." He replied kindly.
Not mentioning his last name.
He then looked to her.
"Better hold on, I'm going to kick him to full speed." He added.

Ebony didn't understand what the Akail wanted with her.
They hadn't really done anything.
Or at least not yet.
She smiled.
"If we can loose this Hunter, I'm thinking about finding those two later and looting them." She said to Tsite.
Tsite huffed, agreeing with her.
He wanted to get back at that Akail for what he had done.
