Tempest, who had wandered off of her own accord to scout the area, had come upon a small golden idol, shaped like a magnificent bird taking off into flight. The silver of her eyes glinted as a ray of light came down from a tiny shaft in the temple walls, only big enough for a mouse or so to pass through if it could make the near-vertical climb. Her nose was what led her here, for the faint scent if incense had went through her olfactory senses. Her head cocked to the side as she chattered to herself in a language known only to raptors and their ilk.
She neared it, carefully, but that basic curiosity pushed her forwards, wary of where she stepped, for she was close enough to hear the commotion that took place with the rest of the group. Just as her muzzle touched the golden statue, the slight shift in weight when she nudged it caused something to shift. The ground quaked just a bit beneath her feet ,causing her to sprint back out of the room and to the group, carelessly running after them, a flurry of arrows madly whizzing about her, one even running through the crest of feathers atop her head. Her running was affected by the quakes though, for it was rather lopsided, but they weren't strong enough to throw a sure-footed one off balance.
The walls were shifting around them, another corridor opening to their immediate left with the sound of a vast amount of running water rising from the hall. However, the hall wasn't level, no. It had stairs that led to an even deeper chamber, and another to the right had stairs leading up, though no traces of sunshine came through. Instead, a lucain came tumbling down the steps.
Her mouth was opened wide, as if she were screaming, but nothing came out. She tottered and ran, rather ungracefully, landing on the Serraptor. She laid, sprawled across the angrily whistling and raptor roaring the Serraptor produced, and gave her head a shake, cerulean eyes looking around the group with a dazed expression.
Tempest snorted and rose to her feet, regardless of the fact that doing so would cause the female Lucain to tumble off with a tired thunk. "Mateus, you whelp!" She bore her fangs at the canine, but did little more than let her talons clank angrily against the stone. "...Are you here alone?"
Mateus, the coal jacketfox Lucain with dim bronze sundancer markings gave a nod, finally clearheaded before giving each of the others a sheepish look. When it fell upon the Fellox, her expression changed to show that of empathy, her cerulean eyes catching the bandages and wounds. Her ears fell back and tail hung low, that being one of the ways she was able to express her sympathies for others without her brother with her.
Tempest followed the Lucain's gaze after she saw her composure go to that of a passive being. The crest atop her head rose and she followed teh gaze, noting the unjury to. And, while she was capable of speaking, she didn't. She thought it best to remain silent that but in at the time with a snarky comment, especially since the humanoid by her was obviously upset over the ordeal.
